Bluetooth headphones will not pair with tv – This tv model doesn't have A2DP under Bluetooth specs, so it won't pair with your Bluetooth headphones until you use an app from Google store. I used app Bluetooth Scanner for ATV. My cheap Bluetooth headphones now appear under the Sony TV Bluetooth devices. Show details
Never again Sony – Really loved this tv when we bought it.smart android system works well. Although in hindsight picture quality ok but not up to LG or Samsung standards. But unfortunately worse, it’s now died after only 3 years. Backlight failure. . Sony used to be a brand that had reliability quality and longevity. For a premium price you’re not getting a premium product. Sony is not doing themselves any favours. Beware this is not brand you grew up with. Show details
Sony X8000g 65" 4k uhd blah blah is rubbish – Purchased in 2019 and it's dead. Tried all trouble shooting and it's useless. Thanks Sony. I am dealing with cancer and really don't need these types of problems right now, that's for sure.. Show details
Just listen – Hypothetically, I get the tv and I started to use it. At first glance, I don't see the 4k feature/it isn't strong and there isn't much difference with normal 1080p Tv's. Secondly is the refresh rate. I am not satisfied with the refresh rate. The refresh rate is 50 and I can't even play 120 fps games on the new xbox series x. Like bro what the hell am I paying over 2000 for a tv that can't even handle next gen console. L tv Show details
Exceptional TV for the price – Excellent picture quality and sound. This 55" TV punches above its weight. Typical Sony quality product but at a lot less than supposedly higher quality units. Don't spend more than twice as much when you can't notice any improvement in quality.
Lacking Software Support – We purchased this TV in 2019 becasue it was android based (to replace a new Hisense that had horrendous app access). Now that Apple Tv+ is available to Sony they won't support this recent model with a software update to provide access to the App. Very disappointed, shouldn't have to buy a new tv every 2 years to stay current with main stream apps. Lift your game Sony. Show details
Android tv on Bravia awful – I would not recommend this. Picture quality and function is great, but Android TV OS is just awful. Clunky, constantly crashes, at least twice a day the tv will randomly reboot. It lags and has slow response time and just overall a shame for Sony. Show details
Okay picture, loses wifi regularly – Picture is okay, not amazing Remote control, need to be a sharp shooter and have perfect aim. Also counter intuitive always grab it back to front, but that might just be me. Regularly loses internet (once a fortnight) and you need to be an absolute tech buff and trawl through several forums that discuss this issue to resolve. It has wifi… Read more
connection, and all other devices connected to that same wifi work fine, but the tv shows”wifi connected, no internet “ . It appears to be something with the internal clock.... Really..
Also chrome cast disappears of the radar for no obvious reason, takes an unplug of tv and reset modem simultaneously to resolve and hope for the best.
On the good side; it switches on super fast and the kids like the speaking into the remote function.
Great TV lots of useful features – This model has a great operating system and good choice of pre installed apps. The controls and features are easily learned and mastered. The settings are such that you can turn the TV off and be able to continue on from that point, when it is next turned on. Connectivity is seamless. HDMI Ports fitted are adequate. Being able to hang it on the wall is fantastic too. Show details
Just how bad can it be? – TV only a few months old, will not even turn on. Loses internet connection regularly Does not record like previous Bravia. Flimsy base. Ridiculous remote, changing batteries a joke, almost impossible. Show details
Worked for 1 hour and power blew – The apps were lagging. It worked for 1 hour then the power switched off. Sony recognized that it was faulty. I have spent over a hour a day on phone calls, over 10 emails and still no movement forward trying to get a refund. Show details
Good quality and nice pictures – Fast and great condition. Enough hdmi pot and usb pot. Smart tv really fast and got all the app i want in it, easy to do in 1 go when everytime i turn on the tv Show details
Simply the Best – This TV is Amazing !!! Omg when I got this I wasn’t expecting the best because the reviews didn’t suggest that but the apps on the tv are so good. Netflix is easy to watch, the colors on the Tv really make your viewing experience brilliant and there are plentiful ports on this Tv. I recommend this to everyone who needs a Tv Show details

3 Months on and it's broken! – I got the 65 inch tv from Bing Lee late Feb 2020 and 3 months on it turns of and on by itself after being off for a few hours. I was tossing between Sony or TCL from Samsung when I was looking for a TV, went for Sony cos of the reputation, should have gone for TCL. What happened to "you get what you paid for"? Show details
Just what we needed – The upsize we needed with great smart tv functionality. Works perfect with out gaming console and can stream out Apple devices with ease. Didn’t cost us an arm or a leg which was a big plus too Show details
Nice design but who would offer a 2020 TV that cannot record..we have stepped back in time 10 years. Very disappointed – Nice design but who would offer a 2020 TV that cannot record..we have stepped back in time 10 years. this TV does not record to either USB or USB HDD. Every night we pause live TV to have dinner etc... not anymore!!! Show details
so far so good – good picture quality, good sound quality the stands are also far. The only challenge is internet connectivity am not sure whether it's my internet or the tv that has issues. Show details
Good TV with good support from Sony – Note: I originally bought a SONY KD49X7500F (2018 model of the x8000g) and that TV broke down about 1 month after, Sony were good enough to replace it with a new 2019 49" X8000G Series. I noticed that the TV was not much better than the 2018 model, the difference was hardly noticeable apart from the Tri-luminous colours. TVs sound was so good, it… Read more
did not need a soundbar. (I gave 5 stars because of that!)
It is a SmartTV. I am fairly satisfied with it's OS and apps. Although, TV responsiveness could be a bit more snappy than it is. It's features and controls are adequate Bluetooth and wireless work perfectly and seamlessly. The unit has the right amount of ports and it has most of the ports on the side of the TV so you don't have to access the back of the TV which could be problematic if you have your TV wall mounted like mine.
There are some fairly annoying things with this TV: There's a problem with the TV that was on the previous model (SONY KD49X7500F) that when watching YouTube, the suggestion screen tends to stick on screen even when closed. This is some annoying kind of software problem that Sony has not addressed. The only other problem is that the specs on the TV could be more powerful, I can only emulate Playstation 1 on this TV. So I will need to purchase an external component to boost the TVs power to emulate more game systems.
I wish Sony would add the new metal remote controls to all of their TV selection, not just some models. All remotes should have a YouTube button. Why are they taking away the YouTube button???
Almost the perfect TV! – TV looks great and has all the latest bells and whistles on it!!! Usage is a little tricky though, sorting program/channels impossible & USB function very different to other simple TV's. Overall still a very good Smart TV! Show details
5 weeks use and Faulty Already – Big Purchase for Xmas and Tv worked well for 5 Weeks. Good picture and sound until today when a Black Line showed up down the centre of the screen. All checks complete and it’s a Faulty Sony TV.
Smart TV but unsmart remote – This is my 2nd Sony TV . I am always fan of Sony products. Picture and sound quality is amazing . But set up was very slow just because I choose automatic system(software)update ! So it took quite a while to update the software. Once the update was done, I got my Sony satisfaction with picture and sound. TV remote very old style . It does have… Read more
Netflix button so you can quickly access to Netflix but it doesn’t have the YouTube button . My first Sony TV I bought 5 years ago and I had a Samsung TV in between. It’s sad to see Sony couldn’t improve on their remote.
Why can’t Sony make small smart remote like Samsung???
Excellent tv – The tv is amazing and has awesome sound am using this tv and would highly recommended it my friend also bought the same after me and we could not be happier Show details

Not bad, hisense is better – The colour on the tv has a lot of auto options where itll adjust the picture itself. It may seem good but during movings you see the screen brighten and darken very obviously. Ive tried changing the settings and even having it off but theres no perfect choice for it to do well in all scenes. On my hisense tv it had its own options that would do perfectly with either a tv show or movie. Show details
Its a good TV – We are happy with the TV but we had some initial issues with Bluetooth and account logins. Also makes a humming sound on occasion. Dont care are very good to service. Show details
Picture is clear – We recently purchased the Sony KD43X8000G smart TV at Harvey Norman. It was at a good price compared to similar TV’s. It was easy to setup for us not so tech savvy oldies. It has Bluetooth connectivity and Netflix is easy to access on the remote. The picture is very clear. The speakers are at the rear so sometimes sounds a little echoey if the volume is too high. We are very happy with our purchase. Show details
