It's Pretty Good – I received this camera as a Christmas gift. It is the first digital camera I've had so I can't judge it on previous experiences. When looking at the screen to take a photo, it is not very clear, kind-of 'pixel-y', but when you see the photo that's been taken it's clear and sharp. I like that it shows you the picture taken for a second or 2… Read more ·  1

after you've taken it.

There is also a feature to take multiple photos in quick succession but to get this you have to go through the menu to turn it on and it's (the continuous photo taking) not very fast, about a picture a second. It also takes longer after you've taken the photos before you can use it again compared to just a single shot.

Sometimes a red light shines on the subject of the photo (I'm not sure why yet) which is painful for anyone looking at the camera. The flash is also very bright and I wouldn't recommend looking directly at the camera if the flash is going to be used.

I have found that the time it takes to actually take the photo from the time you press the button (about a second or 2) can be a bit of a problem when trying to photograph an animal or something you can't get to stay still for very long.

It starts up pretty quickly. The camera on my phone takes a while to start up and I have missed a few good photos because of this but I haven't had that problem with the Cyber-shot, although it does mean having to take the camera everywhere.

The screen seems to scratch pretty easily. I made the mistake of putting the camera in my handbag without it's case about 2 days after I first got it and the screen now has 2 small scratches.

And it shows up fingerprints really well too, which can be hard to clean off.

When it comes to the video/movie recording, it's a shame you can't take stills while recording but it's not really that big a deal.

If you zoom in/out while recording, you can hear the mechanical whirling when you play it back.

I recorded something yesterday and every time I moved the camera closer or further away from what I was recording the picture went really blurry for a few seconds, while it was trying to re-focus, but I don't know if that's because I have changed the settings by mistake while I was playing around because it's the first time that's happened.

It also takes a good 4-8 seconds after you've stopped recording before you can use it again.

I can't think of much else to say really, I've only had it for 7 days and haven't used all the different settings yet but so far it's pretty good. Small. Battery life. Looks and feels well made. The screen scratches pretty easily and picks up fingerprints.
