Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W110 / W120

Handy little camera for on the go – My Sony Cybershot DSC-W110 is such a handly little camera which I carry around in my bag all the time. I usually take photos at the 3M size setting and they are almost always sharp and clear - if they're not, I can usually blame myself. It has a 4x zoom and close up shots are generally good. The video feature is acceptable though I have found if I move too quickly across a scene, the picture tends not to be so smooth : it can appear to be a bit shuddery, so slowing down makes for a better video. I don't feel that I have to buy a proper digital video camera when this one works so well.
I disabled the red eye reduction function because it would take extra time to take the photo and very often, especially when photographing children, I missed the moment.
The battery lasts a long time between charges.
Overall, this camera does all I require it to do. Compact size, easy to operate and consistent good shots.
Excellent – really a very good and compact camera at this price and yes it is strong! I have dropped several time in the concrete and it is intact! good battery life. can take continuous images with a good flash. The LCD display is also bright! Excellent camera at this price. excellent image quality for out door as well as indoor images. can focus very well for near objects as well ( act like a 10 X power microscope) image becomes blur in the auto shoot mode both at 2 second and 10 second
Good – overall a fabulous camera for the price, would definitly buy another one if this one breaks. Very tough, i always drop it and its fine. Doesnt scratch, takes great photos, good flash great price and comes in good range of colours. Very strong, have dropped it a heap of times and nothing happens. Great battery life. Takes great photos. great flash, poor internal memory storage.
Good – This camera is buy far the one to buy if you want a feature packed Compact still. Its small enough to fit in your handbag and not get in the way, or in your pocket yet is jam packed with features, like IS, Face Detection, A number of preset modes (Landscaape, Portrait etc). If you don't want to spend all the money and get a powershot A-Series then second best is this sony, the DSCW120 being the top model with most features standard across the range.
Highly Recommeded Great Pricee
Great Quality
Many Features
Great Brand Screen Size
Buttons Are quite small
Good – Overall I am pretty happy with this little camera. I bought it for the purpose of having a camera handy in my handbag without taking up too much room. Despite it's size it has 4x optical zoom due to the retracting lens. The pictures are clear, bright and colourful especially in good daylight, or when the subject is close-ish (within a few metres). I paid alot less for this camera than my boyfriend did for his (another brand) and the photos it takes are significantly better quality! I generally use this camera for social outings and when something unexpected comes up that I want to capture, but when I am doing photography for the sake of photography I use a better camera. stylish, smallish size, adequate zoom, good clear photos in daylight quality of pictures in the dark is poor, not too many choices for picture size (7m, 5m, 3m, or really really small. I tend to prefer my photos to save around 2m but now I have to edit them on the computer to achieve this)
