A Perfect Budget Level Turntable – Bought this and a pair of Sony WH-CH720NB Bluetooth headphone so that records can be played at any time of the night and day and not annoy others. Turntable was incredibly easy to assemble and although the unit is mainly plastic, it still looked very neat and minimalist. The start button only needs one press and the needle moved smoothly onto the record. The sound output with Sony headphones was unbelievable. It even sounded good with a very cheap Bluetooth speaker. My only minor complaints are that the front buttons are black on black and are flush with the casing which makes it a bit hard to see which button is where. Solved it by putting a small strip of white paper just above buttons with START, STOP, and UP/DOWN written on it. Another minor annoyance is the power button is located at the rear of the unit and not the front. My only major complaint is the trouble I had pairing the Bluetooth together. I advise not to use the Sony app first to set up the headphones. I could not get the headphones and turntable to pair until I re-set both the headphones and the turntable back to factory settings. I strongly advise having a good quality, dedicated set of Bluetooth headphones/speaker for just the turntable so that once they have been paired, they will then instantly connect when turned on again. I don't think the app makes any real difference to the quality of the music coming through the headphones. Sound was extraordinary, without fiddling with various settings. I highly recommend this so-called budget level turntable. For most people, this turntable is excellent value for money and is a perfect choice for those just starting a record collection or those who want to start playing their collection again. The Bluetooth aspect means you aren't tethered to the unit and can move around freely. The quality of the Bluetooth headphones/speaker is what will determine how good the music sounds, IMO.
