Good TV for the price – Great viewing experience. I really enjoyed that TV before I upgraded. Few lags observed in between. Otherwise Great TV Show details

If you find one, get it – Purchased this in Sept 2020 for our small TV lounge. As we have an LG OLED in the family room, couldn’t justify a 2nd OLED, but wanted a quality picture. This TV delivers that. Beautiful clear, crisp & bright colours, good sound, all the latest apps on board too. Got it for $1700, will be cheaper now as the 9500H has replaced it. I actually prefer the picture to the OLED. Very happy. Show details

Appalling service from Sony – I have been purchasing sony tv for many years. I recently bought this model from their online store. Sadly the model arrived with a broken panel. I lodged a call and provided all the details which i followed to troubleshoot the tv. Sadly the support team have around 1 week turnaround time to respond. so you get an initial email, then there is a… Read more

delay for a week. you respond, then another delay for a week etc etc. During this time they asked me to perform tasks i already performed which prolonged the issue even further.

This issue has been ongoing for around 2 months now. Its still ongoing as i speak.

I would seriously consider avoid using Sony after this. The support is inferior to other top brands. If i cant get this resolved amicably then i would rather buy from a competitor sadly.

Hopefully someone from sony can reach out to me and help me out after reading this!

It's just a pity there is no P ause which means no dniweRewind – Nice picture from straight on and android is fun but in the end, without the ability to pause live TV it's not a "Smart TV". Menu and settings are well set out with a good remote. Have to reboot now and then when freezes on youtube or similar but trouble-free otherwise so far(6Months). I miss my old TV that paused it for when you can't hear the… Read more

news from the bathroom then come out and rewind the TV or go to play frisbee with the dog for an hour and miss "lie to me" and just rewind for up to 4 hours of TV providing is left on the right channel of course.

LOUSY PRODUCT – Purchased Harvey Norman 20.3.2020. delivered 23.3.20. do NOT buy this tv unless you spend more money on a soundbar. Terrible sound. In use for 36 days when it would not turn on. Came on of its own accord. 43 days into ownership. No picture or sound. Harvey Norman advised to turn it off for a period of time. started working again. I don't believe… Read more

this is good enough for a product that has had only 43 days of use. I want my money back. Very disappointed

Terrible. Avoid – I’ve been a Sony supporter forever. I upgraded to this tv. It’s rubbish. Total rubbish. I’m in a major city with a normal antenna and wifi. I’m not joking but the 8 yo old tv that I replaced it with has a better picture when watching tv. Admittedly, the Netflix is way sharper. I can’t get past this. The kids said “Geez Dad, the picture looks… Read more

terrible” they then asked me how much I paid. At over $2k, this tv should be in their $400-600 range. It gets worse. The TV guide doesn’t work. When I press the guide only 50% display their content. what’s on ABC of channel 7? I have no idea. It says “No content available”. My 8 yr old tv had no issues. Despite calling Sony for help, we haven’t been able to fix it. So now I have a ‘super premium’ TV that has a terrible free to air TV picture quality and I don’t even know what to watch! The audio is rubbish. Shame on you Sony. Shame on you for pricing this TV as one of your best and for delivering a totally rubbish product. I have to buy a newspaper now, keep the guide just to know what is on TV. It’s like stepped back to 1990. It’s also incredible to think my 8 yr old tv was better. Sony, sharpen up, pun intended. You can do way better than this. Oh... the grainy picture quality with the slow to update processor... really? For $2k+. Avoid. Just avoid.

good with faults – I bought this TV in December 2019 for $2300 from the good guys. Be careful when researching this TV as the American version has much better features than what is available in Australia which includes one of the features I really wanted which was to be able to Pause / record live TV to a USB device. This is only available in the US version. … Read more

Also, the US version has a better back-lit remote which would have been nice. I really wanted an Android TV and this TV does it really well. The OS is great and the ability to add android apps is good. Many games that I expected to work though are not compatible for some reason which makes no sense to me especially as you can easily connect a keyboard/ mouse of game pad to the TV. Also three times in the last few months it has failed to start and and is only fixed by a power off and on. Other than that the picture is great and although I have used external speakers via optical out the sound it pretty good. At the time I think this was the best Android TV available in this price range.

Satisfied – My options was LG Samsung and Hisense in 55 inch TV range. After one month researching, I chose Sony as this has good reviews from experts and customers. UI is little bit difficult comparing with LG and Samsung. Magic remote is much easier. But you can use wireless PC mouth or keyboards. Picture quality is wonderful. I really enjoyed 4k… Read more
