Great DAB – Received my brand new pocket DAB+ XDRP1DBP. What a brilliant piece of kit. Love the fact it has an inbuilt rechargeable battery which lasts for hours. And great sound form such a small device too. Highly recommended.
Useless piece of expensive rubbish – Ineffective as a pocket radio as the long Antanae has to be up so unless you want to poke your eye out don’t walk about with it. Even with said Antanae up the reception is appalling. DAB no stations and FM is appalling with static galore. Useless piece of expensive plastic zero stars. Show details
Compare before you buy – This claims to be a pocket radio but really isn't. It is heavy and requires the aerial to be up. If not it will cut in and out while walking. The Bush pocket DAB radio is smaller, lighter, louder and more reliable. Show details
Only 1 digital station – I bought it for Bali, to listen to our local station in Perth but no good. In Perth only 1 station 6 ix. This radio is as good as a $10.00 one, what a rip off. I wouldn't buy anything Sony again, I bought it from Kogan for $130, a week later it was $79.00. Show details
Too expensive for what it is, and the toggle button has already malfunctioned – Edit/update, 7 years later: after all I wrote below, I just bought another one because I couldn't find anything better in a hurry. -------------------------------------- I paid $139 at JB Hi-Fi, which I think is a bit much. There must be something better for the money. I'll be looking for a better option next time. I get a lot of dropouts on… Read more
the digital stations around Melbourne's bayside, but I don't know if that's a location issue or a problem with the radio.
Only three main station preset buttons is on the 'tight' side, but I obviously knew that before I handed over the cash. The sound is decent -- especially on the speaker for such a small radio -- but it's not loud or bassy enough in my headphones, and there's no eq adjustment (correct me if I'm wrong).
To really nitpick, the instructions aren't detailed enough, and somewhat vague in parts; perhaps that's a translation thing. There are several negative reviews on Amazon, with a few saying the on/off quickly broke, which doesn't surprise me, because it feels fragile.
Amazing tiny Digital Radio – This baby Dab+ Radio has the most unbelievable clear sound for something so small...I am partially deaf. Many Radios have to much Bass & I have difficulty in hearing the sound. This little radios sound is so clear - it doesn’t require batteries comes with USB - plug into Car, Computer etc. to Recharge. Charge lasts & lasts.... Take to… Read more

Sadly no Bluetooth jif you just want to listen to Radio it is smaller than a Smartphone.
I bought from Officeworks on Special $104
Didn’t work for me – I bought this small digital radio with the thought I could use it at work and around the house, room to room. The problem was that as soon as I moved the radio, even slightly, it would loose signal, try and tune, then fail. This happened even with pre-set stations. It was very frustrating. I persisted for a few months then phoned Sony. Their… Read more
response has been very slow. Finally a month after my most recent conversation where I requested a refund, I received an email asking me to return it for service. This is less than adequate. They have passed me from one department to another and I think the real problem is that this radio requires a good signal area to work properly.
Recently after getting nowhere with Sony, I took it back to JB Hifi. They said I should have returned it within 30 days, but in this instance gave me a full refund even though they could have opted out. I am very grateful as Sony were obviously not going to cooperate.
