Splash Blanket Double Veluxe
1 review
It is really “crackly”, sounds like it has plastic bags inside it, which feels embarrassing and degrading to me. I have multiple of this style blanket and the one from Splash Blankets brand is both the most expensive and my least favourite - to the point I avoid using that one if at all possible. None of the other waterproof blankets I have crackle at all, they just feel like nice soft normal blankets, unlike the Splash Blanket brand one which feels like it is advertising the fact that it’s waterproof to anyone that touches it with all the plasticky crackling.
I wrote a question on their private Facebook group to ask if this was normal, and it was deleted by admin. I was then contacted by admin privately to say this could happen if it had been put in the dryer for too long. When I said it has never been in the drier and was like this on arrival, their response was to tell me what other designs they had that I could try purchasing as I might like them better.
Instead I returned to purchasing no-brand waterproof blankets off eBay for a third of the price instead! The only reason I had tried the brand name expensive one from Splash Blanket was that I dislike the eBay ones being advertised as for dog pee! Embarrassing lol. But in reality they are nice blankets and do the job perfectly, drawing no attention to themselves, and it is the Splash Blanket that instead makes me feel like an incontinent puppy shamed into sleeping on a plastic sheet. Definitely paying extra for a “luxury” version is not the way to go in this instance.
