I do not understand the usage instructions.

Do you put “2 measured tablespoons” straight into drain or premix it with 1 cup of cold water then tip it in?

Squeeze it, it's not adult proof.

It's actually really hard, maybe depending on how the lid has been put on in the factory. It does open anticlockwise like a regular lid, but there are two bumps that get in the way of each other, even when squeezing very firmly at the lines as indicated. I got it open by moving the bumps apart and squeezing very tightly while bringing them back together, and the red one just managed to slide over the white one. I was also squeezing the main container, to try to get the white bump to move inward. It took a few tries, not a normal childproof mechanism and probably best for people with larger hands.

Thank you. I had to use pliers to lift the red tabs to get them over the white bumps as my hands are old and arthritic. A very difficult lid to remove.
