I agree with the last review, this toastie maker is awful. No matter how much butter you use or how long you toast it for, it simply does not toast as a toastie maker should. The outside of the bread does not toast and the filling inside gets hot and ends up making the whole thing soggy as the bread it still soft. As additional annoyance, every… Read more
time I have used it, the toasties have a strange metallic taste. I tried to return it but had no luck as it is used. All in all, this is a piece of crap and I should have stuck to my old Sunbeam that I had for over five years.
The worst – Only patches of toasting, even after 3 mins. Tried both thin and thick breads. Filled with savoury mince. Show details

Sunbeam Express Melt Toastie has lots of space for fillings & great for Gluten Free – I LOVE my new Toastie maker. Especially happy with the high hinges that kept the bread from moving when closing the top and the deep plates that helped with my gluten free bread and allowed for some extra fillings. I'm quite fussy about cleaning these types of appliances and I am happy to say that clean up was a breeze with a damp cloth on the non stick plates. I'm looking forward to making some dessert jaffles in pastry next. Show details · 1

I've been using a sandwich grill but recently added this one to my kitchen which i'm loving to make jaffle style toasties where I can fit MORE FILLINGS! loving left over spag bol sauce and cheese and this toastie maker has a big hinge so the fillings don't get squeezed out when I put the lid down. Super Crunchy! – Absolutely loved using this to make toasties for all the family! I was pleasantly surprised at how crunchy the toasties were whilst being able to hold a lot of ingredients. Not just toasties – This is a great product. It's non-stick coating makes it easy to clean, I normally use a damp paper towel to wipe clean when the machine is slightly warm. Great for a large family – When I got a chance to try the Sunbeam Express Melt Toastie Melt GRP4000SV, I was excited to make a dish from my childhood for my kids.
