Pointless – Shocked by the positive reviews, this doesn't heat anything outside of a 30cm radius and certainly doesn't fill up the room even if you leave it on for 24 hours. You'd need about 10 of these to heat a room properly, highly recommend avoiding it. Show details

Nice small heater – This is a decent priced heater that works well for a small space or a personal heater. I've only had to use it on the lowest setting as it provides plenty of heat, it would probably struggle to heat a larger sized room though. It's not quiet, as you'd expect given it has a fan, but not any noisier that other fan heaters.  Show details

Perfect for small area – I bought this heater just before winter and could not be happier. It is compact, relatively affordable, safe to use, very portable and quiet! I initially bought it for the small bedroom and it does the job well. The perfect area to warm up is about 16 sqm, anything bigger would need something else. If you are on the market for a small area heater, this is the one for you. I recommend it!  Show details

Highly recommend! – We use it in our bedroom, usually turn it on before we go to bed, and it warms up the room pretty quickly. It is not really noisy, and easy to store when not in use as it is quite compact. It also has a fan with no heat setting, but tried that during summer, and it does not really work, so just stick to the heating option. Highly recommend!  Show details

Great option for bathroom – It's compact but fires off enough heat to warm our bathroom quickly in the winter. Easy to control and feels safe with a built in trip circuit. It's very light compared to previous heaters we've owned and I'm not sure how many years it will last, but at $60, I'm not too fussed.  Show details

Really good, surprised how well it heats up a large room – I didn't expect too much, but this little burner does a great job in heating up a large room. The auto off function works too as I once knocked this over and it switched off straight away. The ceramic means there is no exposed hot element or immediate fire risk.  Show details

Great heat – This little sucker pack a good punch! You won't believe how efficient it is for a small room. It does get hot but what heater doesn't? When you move it, it does have a shaking sound inside. I thought it was faulty but it's part of the thermostat design Sunbeam says. So, don't worry about it. Great little guy!  Show details

Great little heater. Warms a 4x4 room quickly – Great little heater. Warms a 4x4 room quickly. It's been dropping down to one degree in the evenings and mornings in Toowoomba and these little heaters do a brilliant job of warming bathrooms and kid's bedrooms. They oscillate smoothly. Nice safety feature if they tip over too - ie. they shut off. They can be a fan without heat I think but I don't think they'd be very effective at this.  Show details

Great for camper trailers or caravans – Was looking for a small heater to take camping in our Jayco poptop. Decided to get this based on 2 year warranty (brands 3 x the price only had 1 year warranty), Aussie designed and price (about $70 from Harvey Norman). Sure, there were heaters with 2400W power compared to this one at 1800W, but they were priced well over $100. After 4 nights of… Read more

use, the sunbeam performed perfectly. Small, powerful and packs a punch, it had no trouble turning our camper into an oven! Overnight lows were 11DegC but this kept us boiling! Will soon give it a run in the middle of winter and near the high country, but early tests have had great results so far.

Great little worker but – Had this great little since winter last year. It heats up our small bathroom and bedroom quickly. Its easy to use and move around. Noise also is reasonable. But just recently the fan stop working. It still heats but does not blow any air at all. Good thing it has a 2 year replacement warranty. I took it to Harvey Norman and they replaced it immediately upon presentation of receipt..

Another quality control failure – Freezing cold - checked the reviews on heaters decided on the above product, found one at Big W took it home in Joyful anticipation. It didn't work - the heater warmed itself a little but the fan remained stationary. I have to wait a whole weekend in the cold now before i can take it back. It looked ok It does not work

A little ripper! – I have been looking for a ceramic small heater for awhile as a colleague has a small Dimplex (which they no longer make) I searched product review & purchased this purely on recommendation & I would like to thank fellow reviewers for such honest reviews in which my purchasing has been made easy. I bought this (HE2055) for $59 from Big W a week… Read more

ago. I sit it in the office under my computer desk to warm my feet but it actually warms the whole room (small office). No usually a fan of Sunbeam products as I have not had much luck in the past (not that well made) so was pleasantly surprised. Small compact & pumps out a great amount of heat. Safe with automatic shut off. The grill does get quite warm/hot so would be cautious with young children around. (Not applicable to me as my children aare teenagers)

Fantastic little heater – After my little cheapo Dome ceramic heater from Coles died after almost 1 yr of casual use (fan blade broke off) I decided to have a quick look on this site and decided to purchase a Sunbeam heater. Woolworths had this 1800 watt ceramic element model with a durable mesh grille in stock for a reasonable $50 and the 2yr replacement guarantee was… Read more

the main factor as I am tired of small heaters malfunctioning before the year is up. I am extremely happy with the quiet temperature output as previous fans blew out luke warm air on their highest dial. Safety wise, It self-regulates if the ceramic gets too hot as the electricity flow is automatically reduced. I mainly use it in a bedroom and with a convenient handle it allows me to carry the heater from room to room if needed. I love the adjustable thermostat which allows me to select the desired heat level and automatically switch the heater on and off to maintain the set temperature. It also has a fan only option to use without heat. Quiet, stylish & excellent heat output

Excellent – I have used this heater for 2 years now and love it. It heats the room up really quickly, is so easy to use, and is reasonably sturdy as we have moved it from room to room as needed with no problems. The heater is not hot to touch so is safe around children. Efficient, looks good, quiet, reasonable price, easy to use, reliable, very portable, heats up a small to medium size room very quickly.  Show reply

Excellent – Brilliant portable heater. Highly recommended. Heats a small closed space (like a bedroom) very quickly, and handles larger spaces well too. This heater has a simple, elegant design and is very easy to operate. It cost me around $65, but was well worthwhile. I initially purchased the extremely disappointing Sunbeam MF2000 Micro Furnace, but it… Read more

took it back and exchanged it for the much cheaper and infinitely better HE2050. As far as I'm concerned, this is pretty much the perfect portable electric heater. The only thing to bear in mind is: I've only had it for a week (at the time of this review: 12 May 2009). Efficient, compact, ceramic element, good-looking, quiet, well-designed, simple to use, reliable, self-regulating, highly portable, very reasonably priced, good safety features. Nothing so far, but time will tell

Good performer but not child friendly – Still looking for an appropriate heater that is child friendly....any advice? Sunbeam HE2055 from Big W works fine but the fan blows hot air through the front metal grill. In short, the grill gets hot to the touch which is not ideal for small children. I originally bought the Kambrook KFH310 but found the hot air had a bad odour… Read more

(although this model is safe to the touch because the air is blown through a front made of plastic and not metal).
