Awful – A Kettle must do three things Fill Boil Pour The Sunbeam Morning Frost Glass Kettle KE6200 does the first two of these adequately. The third it fails miserably at. How is it possible that someone designs a kettle, goes to all the trouble of manufacture, packaging, advertising and distribution without twigging to the fact that the think can't pour without splashing boiling water all over the counter? Show details

When a Kettle can't pour – Ergonomically good with tapered top, button to open lid good location. Handle get extremely hot at the bottom, you cannot touch it. Beautiful kettle in every way – What a beautiful perfect kettle is this one. It looks lovely on the kitchen bench with its frosted glass. I thought being frosted that it may be difficult to see the water levels but it was very easy. The kettle is not heavy to hold and the handle is perfect in your hands. It boils quietly and fast. There is a mesh filter inside which is… Read more

easy to take out and clean. The pouring lip on this kettle is so much better as it doesn't dribble out like the one I had previously returned. There is still the blue light which looks attractive. Plenty of cord for what you need. For the cord you don't need, I just wind the cord around the bottom storage of the kettle. This kettle is much better than the Maestro one and it pours brillantly and easy too. It is just like all the other Sunbeam kettles I have bought in the past. It looks attractive on the bench, it doesn't get hot to touch on the handle as some kettles can get. It's not heavy to pick up. Shop around for a good price on it as I got it cheaper. Absolutely satisfied with this kettle and would highly recommend.

Value for Money great buy – After searching for a suitable Kettle with good capacity we found this. Reasonably priced. It holds 1.7 Liters can be quite heavy when full. Would recommends for family of 4 or more.Frost glass does gives some false sense of safety but should not touch when hot. Blue light feature is great so you can see from distance when it turned off. Show details

Leaking kettle after 6 months of use – I bought this kettle in January 2020 and it was put in storage to be used in my new house at the start of 2021. Roughly 6 months later and like many others the kettle has started leaking. Technically it's out of warranty so I can't get a replacement but I would've hoped it would've lasted longer than 6 months of use. Buyer beware. Show details

Quickly forms a leak – Took less than a year for a leak to form around the spout so when you pour it leaks boiling water everywhere. For a kettle that's the worst problem a kettle can have in design. Shameful, Sunbeam. $80 for leaks.  Show details

Not happy – I bought this kettle less than 6 months ago. Unfortunately i did no research before purchasing, if i had i would not have bought it. The reviews all say it leaks. My kettle now leaks around the seam between the glass and the plastic too. I really want a kettle with no plastic in it. Stainless steel and or glass is my preference. No sneaky plastic… Read more

window thanks. I am so angry about poor product design, i sincerely expect to get more than 10 years of use out of a product, not this inbuilt obsolescence where products are designed to fail within 2 years.

POOR DESIGN SPOUT – This is a great looking minimalist design kettle however the design of the spout is an issue as it spills water as you pour it into a cup. It's a shame that so much effort has gone into the look of this kettle which shows however the detailed functional design issues have not been resolved. The term " FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION" needs stricter… Read more

adherence Sunbeam. On closer examination since writing this review the actual leak is below the spout where the spout assembly attaches to the glass body. This would suggest that the seal between the two has failed which explains the dripping of water beyond the cup and onto my kitchen bench top.

Poor design & quality – After 6 months of use, couldn't open lid & after closer inspection notice 2 large cracks in the top black ring of kettle. Won't be purchasing Sunbeam product again.

Sunbeam Kettle KE6200 – It is not hard to be critical of this product. I will list the most critical that have appeared in my KE6200. 1. Always been a very poor pourer even before lid latch broke. Plastic bits. 2. Cannot open lid any longer due to the above. 3. Does not switch off automatically anymore due to a combination of the above. 4. Getting slower to boil since… Read more

the purchase on the 20/06/2020, the above faults have been slowly evolving. We have owned only sunbeam products for 50 years, kettles, irons, mixers etc , we have never needed to complain about any of them. This kettle with normal use should last at least 5 years not less than 12 months, when the faults began to appear. We bought this kettle for $75.95 from Good Guys on the above date thinking if I bought a Sunbeam it would be superior to the cheaper models at less than half the price of the Sunbeam models. Never Again.

Disappointing Purchase – We’ve had the kettle for about 14 months. It’s now leaking water from somewhere when we pour. Of course it’s just outside the warranty period. Reading other reviews it looks like Sunbeam build them only to last the 12 months. Will absolutely not be buying a Sunbeam kettle again.  Show details

It's somewhat ok but has major design flaws – The kettle is nice to look at but within a year of use the lid release no longer works meaning the lid won't open. You have to open it with your finger nails. Also the plastic ring around the top has cracked in 3 places inside the kettle. Over all not impressed at all and will steer clear of sunbeam products in future. Was too expensive and not worth the money  Show details

Poor spout design and plastic cracked after 14 months – Poor spout design as others have mentioned. Also, the top mounted plastic ring that is contiguous with the spout has cracked in two locations after 14 months of use. One location on the spout - causing additional leakage during pouring - and another at the hinge point. Show details

Works well, some design limitations – The kettle looks good, and boils quickly, without much noise. Water level very easy to see. The spout is distinctly poor, being shaped in a way that makes pouring difficult, especially in combination with a handle which does not allow a comfortable wrist position. Not the best if your wrists are getting a bit feeble. Show details

Model KE 6200 lid will not open – Purchased the kettle approx 6 months ago and after a while had difficulty with the lid release button. It does not function at all now and have to use my finger nail to lift the lid.The black plastic surround that holds in the glass is totally split and opened up which looks as though this has been the problem.

Developed the dreaded leak :( – Loved this kettle for it's looks and it doesn't show dirty marks as easily as clear glass. Not the quietest, but not the noisiest either. Recently developed the dreaded leak at the spout, but I guess going by other reviews, we're lucky that it's been more than a year of daily use. Don't know if I'd buy again, our $40 Kmart glass blue light kettle lasted 5 years...  Show details

Oh ohh ... leaking – I've had the 'Morning Frost' kettle for about 6 weeks. It was a replacement for another brand that leaked from the bottom and I thought I was done with leaks ... but in the last few days this one has started to leak from where the top plastic bit meets the glass. It only happens when pouring but filling a mug leaves a LOT of water on the bench … Read more

Very poor design ergonomics for a renowned brand – As noted by other users, the pouring spout is poorly designed, the water doesn't flow evenly like most kettles, it kind of just falls out of the kettle. Additionally, the plastic construct on the top means the water doesn't give a smooth pour, hence hot water bouncing off the glass and splashes out the pouring spout, I've almost gotten scalded by… Read more

boiling hot water whilst pouring content into a mug - definitely an OHS issue. Surprised how this could have been missed in the product testing and approved for manufacturing. This kettle will definitely be returned for a refund.

Bit of a let down actually – Looks good in the box and on display. Unfortunately that's as far as it goes. The blue light is poor in effect. I have used $10 kettles that have a better blue light. The two LED's are positioned either side of the handle and this is the only spot where they light up. When turned side on the LED is bright where it is mounted but then just fades… Read more

away as it goes around the base. Due to the poor lighting, only way to see "the water bubbling blue" as you say on the box, is to use it in the dark. The pouring spout is poor, the water doesn't flow evenly like most kettles, it kind of just falls out of the kettle. Not great for boiling hot water. In saying that, it does boil water - but then so does a $5 kettle.

Good looks Poor Quality – We bought this kettle online from a department store and it was described as "Glass, Stainless Steel" material. This seemed to correspond with the images. It looked very stylish and sleek in pictures. Unfortunately, in real life we discovered that the "stainless steel" part was a just a thin decorative sheet over a plastic (nylon?) shell,… Read more

including the spout. This definitely did not seem like honest advertising. In the last several months, after about only 6 months of use, the top plastic structure has cracked and split causing the lid to also started leaking during pouring as other reviewers have mentioned: the spout design is not very good to start with. We would not have bought this kettle if we knew it had a plastic construction.

Stop it Leaks – Sunbeam. Many people are complaining that the lip of the kettle leaks. Here's mine. It leaks water under the plastic lip that then runs down the side of the kettle and into the electric base. Clearly I'm not the only consumer having this issue. This product is faulty. Show details

Disappointed – Quite light and thin plastic - not sure it will last. Thought LED would change colour as temp changed... but it’s only blue led when on... should be red to warn its hot water. Totally agree with others - the spout is poorly designed for pouring water. Quiet and boils pretty quickly, so happy with that. Easy to use and set up. Good size. Show details

They have dropped the ball on quality control – Bought one of these and within a week or two the plastic on the spout began to split so it leaked when being poured. Only got worse from there with more and more leaks which meant I had to pour over the sink. Really poor oversight of the materials used here, blue light is a gimmick. Took it back for a competitors brand and happy since. Avoid. Show details

Today, I found the kettle cracked at the top after 16 months use and I am disappointed about the lifetime of the kettle. cheap kettles I've used typically lasted more than 5 years and Sunbeam KE6200 is the second shortest living kettle I've experienced. The shortest living kettle I used was Breville BKE840CLR4JAN2 which leaked after a few weeks use. Both Sunbeam KE6200 and Breville BKE840CLR4JAN2 were bought from the Good Guys which raises their ethics of importing their products: expensive with lower quality.

Perfect little thing! – We boil water 4 or 5 times a day. It is small but with good 1.7L capacity. It looks absolutely beautiful when boiling water. The only thing is that the pour is not very clean might because the mouth is a bit wide. And I will need to put up the lid to empty the kettle. Still love it and enjoy using it everyday. Show details ·  1

An awesome kettle – I got my kettle and i should say i was impressed. Its luminous blue light gives a cool effect. The body is like 95% glass so it really looks modern and easier to clean because you can see the inside clearly. There's a small round metal plate at the bottom for heating and the rest is glass. So you dont have to worry that much about the inside going rusty over time. Boils the water very quickly, definitely an excellent choice. Show details

Perfectly stylish kettle – Just found my new 'best purchase"!! This kettle is just super stylish. The glass is frosted giving it such an elegant look. Being glass it means you can see the water at all times and it just feels clean and sleek. The water indicator is at the front but again, being glass there is no guessing. What you see is what you get. It boils very rapidly and the blue light is ultra cool. Do yourself a favour and give it a go, I love it!! Show details
