Sunbeam Quantum 2

Terrible – it seems to either under cook or over cook when on the same setting, usually burning after several uses in a row. burns toast on on heat setting number one or it can need to be re-toasted on setting one because it doesnt toast it. this is a terrible product burns toast on heat setting number 1
Bad – I wouldn't recommend this toaster purely based on the lift function mentioned above in cons. This is the only thing I don't like about this toaster but this feature is important enough that I was considering returning it within a day. I decided to stick with it however 1 month after my warranty has expired, the toaster no longer works unless I… Read more
hold the lever down while the toast cooks. I've been a huge fan of Sunbeam products for over a decade now but I've been continuosly disappointed with our Sunbeam products recently. Time to look at the reviews here for another one. The stainless steel finish looks great, stylish and very affordable with RRP $49.95 compared to similar toasters on the market (ie 4 slice stainless steel finish). You can put your high top bread slices in there and it all gets evenly cooked without having to turn it over and retoast like other models. Although it doesn't have a reheat button like many toasters, you can easily change your setting to reheat. Also the body of it doesn't get too hot if my little ones happen to touch it while I turn my back for a second (it's all it takes!). Thankfully they can't reach the top of the toaster! The lift function is way too low. It's fine when the bread is a hi-top but for standard bread and especially crumpets and muffins, I always end up with burnt fingertips.
Terrible – DO not under any circumstance buy this toatser. It is absolutely rubbish. We cannot wait to get rid of it. I burn my fingers getting anything out of this toaster and I am thinking of suing Sunbeam for injury caused by using their product. My last toaster (Kambrook) lasted 12 years and boy do I miss it. We've had this one 6 months and it is in my opinion a safety hazard as it has also switched off my safety switch on 2 occasions.
Nice little shiny Toaster! – After our last toaster "died" just after the 12 month warranty, we were in the market for a new toaster. Managed to get the TA3220 at a great price, and it ticked all our prerequistes (Not too big & bulky, chrome body, 2 Slicer) We've had no issues other than if we are cooking a lot of toast, each time after the first lot, it seems to cook… Read more
quicker than the last lot, so we sometimes need to pop the toast before it pops itself.
Other than that, a great little Toaster! Doesn't take up too much space When toasting is succession, you do need to keep an eye on it, as it seems to toast quicker each time, which can lead to burnt toast and a screaming smoke alarm!!
Yeah, but... nah – Since we were given this little beastie, we've had problems. We can live with uneven toast, and adjusted to its fussy ways, but the lever NEVER goes down, and sometimes I count over twenty attempts to start the toasting process. Lately, we've had sparks at the lever, which tells me, it's time to review our options. (and that's why I'm here).… Read more
Useful to toast 4 at once. that's about it. crumbs get stuck, lever doesn't stay down. Very plastic feel. also a bulky thing on the bench
Terrible – Terrible toaster. Never cooked consistently. Never knew if it was going to under cook the toast, or overcook it, even on a 1.5 setting. Burned the edges of the toast very quickly, but the rest of the toast wasn't cooked. Would brown on the outside, but the inside wouldn't be cooked. Or one side would be too brown, but the other side wouldn't be… Read more
browned at all. Very easily burned getting toast out, as the lift didn't go high enough. Given the standard of the toaster, it was a complete rip off.
Expensive for quality, burns toast easily, cooks unevenly, doesn't lift toast high enough, can easily get burned by the hot surface
Don't bother – Sunbeam must be trying to offload these by packaging them with the Quantum kettle counterparts. The kettle has been fine, however, the toaster had a bad smell from the first use and it has continued to disappoint. It burns the toast or is uneven (or both!). I assumed the smell would disappear with continued use, but it reappears with each… Read more
toasting. As others have mentioned, there is no high lift and I often unplug the machine to dig out my toast. Cheap Burns toast, bad smell, needs a higher lift.
Terrible – If you want evenly cooked toast don't bother. Although its at the cheaper end of the toaster market... don't waste your money! Looks good Cooks toast unevenly. If you want both sides cooked one gets burnt. Tried many ways to try and overcome this, but I have given up. No more toast in our house until I find a worthwhile buy. I've been a sunbeam fan for all electrical products.....not anymore
OK – Overall, this toaster has worked fine for me. I've had it for about a year and thereis nothing wrong with it yet. You can turn it up to heat 6 or frozen, but I usually keep it at 1 or 2 because it bruns really quickly. Some of the other reviews are really bad, so I wonder if my toaster will turn on me? It cooks quite evenly. You can adjust the… Read more
heat really high, but I find that usually just makes it burn. It's compact and cute. Some of the reviews below are worrying...It's hard to clean, and whenever I cook it smells like something really bad is burning.
OK – I picked up this toaster for quite a cheap price and have had it for about a year now with no problems at all. It does the job that it says it will and I have found that toast comes out of it just fine. It can be hard to clean and get all the crumbs out and I have found that often you pick it up and crumbs have somehow fallen out of the bottom… Read more
which is a bit of a pain. Other than that, it does the job and is pretty cheap. Cheap and affordable, looks nice in the kitchen. Loses crumbs underneath.
Terrible – It would seem to be a manufacturing or design fault with this toaster model. Warranty is no guarantee if your replacement toaster has the same problem. Cheap. Looked nice. Broke down after 4 months. Replaced under warranty. New replacement toaster burnt out after 6 weeks - same problem.
Terrible – Our previous toaster was a Sunbeam which I hated because of unven toasting. My son_in_law, bless his heart, thought he'd buy me a new one, another Sunbeam. Toatal rubbish and blew up 1 month after warranty period. Nice timing Sunbeam. Uneven toasting, have to adjust settings for second lot of toast & blew up 1 month after warranty.
Terrible – Do not buy this product, I am going shopping next week for a new toaster and this sunbeam is goin in the bin. NO MORE SUNBEAM TOASTERS FOR ME! And I used to love sunbeam....sad really. Cute Absolute rubbish, complete tosh! I hate this toaster with a passion. NEVER cooks toast well. if you put it on 6, tost is slightly browned, and then to get it the way I like it you have to put it on MIN. about two times NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Know better, choose better.
OK – Having read a few previous reviews I wonder if perhaps the earlier models were of higher quality . I can't fault the build quality of the toaster and it is very easy to wipe clean, though the crumb tray is a bit fiddly to clean. Toasts quite well though only on the mid range scale of the dial and it is rather slow. Overall though I am quite… Read more
happy with this toaster as it hasn't blown up on me and still functions well. Very reliable toaster which I have had for nearly two years and has never missed a beat. I bought this toaster because it looked better made than the one Choice magazine recommended. It gets used daily by a family of 4 and has had no problems at all mechanically. The toast does not pop up high enough which is very annoying as you have to use something other than fingers to get the toast out; this is by far its worst fault and a real design flaw .
Terrible – The most disgraceful and rubbishy product Ive ever bought - not to mention a total waste of money. It is incredibly slow at toasting, never ever browns evenly two slices let alone 4 slices and does not pop the toast high enough to get it out easily. I wish Id knew how bad it was before I bought it as a friend of mine bought the same one and it… Read more
blew up after only one month. Looks ok, takes 4 slices of toast. Poor design, construction appears to be cheap, burn your fingers getting the toast out.
Terrible – I was devastated when my old toaster packed it in (was an oldie but a goodie), but we had a spare so no need to go out and buy another one. I really hate this toaster!! I hate the way it doesn't brown the toast evenly, moreso, I hate the fact my fingers get burnt everytime I try and get my toast out!! I use 'normal' sized bread. I am forever… Read more
adjusting the dial and still don't get it right. I miss my old one and can't wait for this one to pack it in too. Fits in 4 pieces of bread. Not even browning, doesn't pop up high enough.
Good – this is a good toaster with all the usual functions, pretty good value for your money, and a stylish addition to a kitchen works well, dose everything its says it will not cheap
