this, as we felt that for the actually body of the air fryer to break after just 18 months (and a cost of $350), this shouldn’t happen. You wouldn’t expect a microwave or other appliance at the same value to break at this age either. Sunbeam just came back to us and said ‘apologies but it is out of the 1 year warranty, so there isn’t anything they can do’. So disappointed as we researched a lot before choosing this one, and feel really let down by the unfixable damage and no offer of any resolution.

cook anything on 130-150 degrees it turned out dry. I’m a bit OCD & can’t stand the drips or excess water during and after cooking left inside the cooker & on the floor. The self clean function is good for the inside grill area & makes clean up easier. Air fry Frozen chips are not great but cooking root veggies eg: Kumera works well, but haven’t really achieved chef style consistency but happy they at least cook on the steam-fry mode. Love the Grill function (5 stars) as this is way easier to use than the oven & finally we can have yummy grilled GF bread which is hard to do in a normal Air-fryer & as it blows everything around, so we are really happy with how this works. Easy to use digital functions & parts plus the machine lets you know if the water chamber is empty which is useful so you don’t ruin your machine. I’m not hugely impressed with this Air-fryer & prefer to slow cook in the oven & just to simply use a crispy Air-fryer to do our chips etc as they do a much better job. If I was a chef or a baker this would be ideal but I’m not & prefer to do things the much simpler way (in the oven or crockpot). The unit is big and not really suitable on a high area as if you are short like me as you need to reach the water chamber. Be mindful that wherever you place it you have to be aware of the steam shooting out the back, so walls etc need to be tiled or a backsplash. For the sales price it was a bargain & we took out an extra/cheaper 2 year warranty. We ended up getting a cheaper Vortex model as it’s much simpler, way less mess & less mucking around plus it does chips etc better. I will use this for travel & camping (caravan) as it would be ideal for that. I fit enough veggies in the drawer to feed 3 people as it cooks well Evan when food is layered. Will add Pork belly is amazing in the Sunbeam. I haven’t used the steam & bake function so I can’t comment, but I would say it would do a good job. I can see why people like it but just not ideal for me because of the reasons specified in this review. Best to clean after every use & wipe with paper towels or just rinse out as it helps with deterioration in my opinion (I just use hot water and a soft sponge after self cleaning mode). Nice big looking unit that is sturdy & stays put. We use a Kmart silicone dish & tin foil when cooking meats to save on mess & it still cooks everything well (enough airflow). Prefer the oven and a simple crispy Air-fryer though over this unit

One drawer is great as I can fit two pies in it. This air frier heats pies, savouries, hot cross buns and burger buns to a very acceptable standard. Unfortunately, neither French fries nor fish have worked out well. The basket tray is easy to remove and wash. (Don’t use the cardboard liners from Temu, they catch fire). Disadvantages- the digital buttons are too hard for me to press, especially the plus and minus. My husband has to press the plus and minus for me. Therefore I’m only using function, pause and on/off. The frier takes up bench space, one does need to consider this.

Perfect! So quiet too! – I thought I loved my Kmart Air Fryer, until I purchased this one! I didnt realise how much more I could do. It is so easy to clean, much quieter and having the steam function means I barely need to use my stove or oven at all. I have cooked cakes, a whole chook , but my favourite is how quickly it cooks my homemade spring rolls. Definitely worth the investment of money and space in my pantry. Show details ·  1

Love the combo feature !! – I used my steamfry Air Fryer for the first time and absolutely loved it. I firstly steamed some dumplings, and then airfryed some sweet potato fries. It is SO easy to clean! No matter how dirty the seasonings and marinades make the inside, I am always able to wipe out the residue after using the steam function.

So juicy! – I’m late to the air fryer party. Manly due to hearing horror stories about how dry things turn out. But when I saw this sunbeam model I was instantly intrigued. Wow! Steam and fry, who would have thought such magic was possible – Bought this after the old airfyer went bang, on recommendation from the sales person as I cook roasts in airfryer a lot. get crackle right, usually too hard and threatens to break teeth! This was perfect. Cooks quick than the old airfryer did too. I have made cupcakes successfully and fryer potatoes/veg is easy.

Best feature is the steam clean IMO, take the food out, press steam clean and by time dinner is eaten the machine internals are clean. I used to worry with the old one about fat on the fan and element where I couldnt reach, so love this option.

A word of warning, steam vent is at back, so when using a steam option, pull the airfryer out from wall to prevent blistering paint behind. Also, the chicken drumstick program is a little short, add 10 mins to ensure those bigger drummies are done all the way through.

I don't recommend putting very light things in the airfryer to crisp up, the fan is too strong and can blow them up onto the element, I tried to crisp some fried tofu skin, luckily I smelt the smoke immediately and stopped it. Then a quick steam clean and all was good again.

There are lots of cooking options and the drawer is enormous so family sized roasts or chicken nuggs and chips are easy to do. Footprint is taller than wide, and about same as an auto coffee machine, so it isnt too cumbersome on the benchtop.

We have used it nearly every day since I bought it, it's so convenient. I am going to leave it right there on the counter so the teenagers can feed themselves snacks and give me back some mum time. Win-win.

has come off each time and the draw/basket is like new. The food cooks faster than our wall oven. The large draw enables cooking larger quantities of food. Sometimes we do use a little spray oil when required to get a nice crispy coating and it's been great for both cooking and heating meals. I have also steamed veggies and dim sims. The kids love using it, several presets to make it easy. It has warning beeps half way through your cook time, to check and turn over your items, it’s peace of mind for parents. This machine is more silent than our prior one and cook quality and time is much better and faster, which is great when unexpected guests drop in.

Clean up was easier with the Steam Clean function and design of the draw. We’ve made BBQ spare ribs and bulgogi beef bao buns and SteamFry dumplings, the draw was a sticky mess. We ran the Steam Clean function, which cleaned up most of the oil/juices, then gave it a quick rinse off with washing liquid and warm water, it was back to new. No scrubbing required. It does what they say – crispy outside and juicy inside.
