Suzuki Excellence – I have a Suzuki DF20A. Had it for a few years. Works perfectly and with efi uses very little fuel and pushes my tinny along at over 40ks. Very reliable and service it myself to save money. Had other brands but this is the best motor I have had,
Purchased in for $4,200.
New motor cutting out at throttle – Brand new motor that i brought to Alaska from Arizona. After break in i tried to throttle up and the red light comes on and the motor cuts out. Suzuki will not pay to have it sent to dealer in Juneau and will void warranty is local shop touches it. Bought new for a reason. Never Suzuki again!
Purchased in for $3,600.
Suzuki Junk – I purchased a Suzuki DF20A to be used as an auxiliary motor on a Haines 20 ‘ Signature. It has only ever been worked for approximately 3hrs. The other hours (approximately 15hr were where I ran the motor for testing or to top up battery ) Recently had to rely on auxiliary motor... Would not start, had a looooong tow back. !!!! Took motor to dealership, advised “salt water ingression!! $6000 + to repair!! <20 hrs use!!! That’s only $$300. an hour!! JFJ!!! Suzuki say its out of warranty so now I have to take the dealer to fair trading under consumer guarantee law(ie NO TIME LIMITS) Shame on you SUZUKI... I’ll never buy another, Really disappointed!
