prefect recycled treasure.
i found mine dumped on the street in the morning.carried it home and couldn't believe that beautiful gliding movement and wooden frame.....had to sand and paint some arms and spindles -then found a great all- weather black cushion at ikea, for the wide seat,-perfect fit and total comfort. Then did the search after seeing the little swallow emblem..love it. total relaxation in under 1 minute sitting on the verandah looking out over the landscape. ....people will fight over this chair....if you can get one -go for it.
fantastic investment, especially with the matching gliding footrest. you can go into the store and check out the comfort level of these chairs in the babyco stores if you don't believe me. i have had mine for about 5 years and everything works the same way as the day i bought it. the cushions haven't even sagged!! it is so comfortable and i didn't even buy it because i was pregnant, i bought it as something to read on, and even though i have a bad back i can sit for hours without getting sore. well worth the money, even if it is a bit pricey
The best rocker I have ever had - Value for money
My Papa rocker is 8 years old and still going strong. I have on breastfed both my girls in it and now breastfeeding my now 11 month old son in it. It has been the best purchase. Look beyond the price and it really is a bargain considering the amount of use you get out of it. With rockers you certainly get what you pay for and the Papa glider is no exception. I strongly recommend this rocker to anyone because it will give you years of use. I have done many miles in the rocker and it is so comfortable that I have almost dropped off in it which is why I haven't bought the matching ottoman.
But please keep up the maintenance of the chair with regular dusting and especially oiling. Do not use olive or vegetable oil in it - as I was recommended as it has now developed an intermittent interesting noise but am quick to add that it doesn't affect the workings of the chair.
a great gliding chair that can be used post natally to help settle baby, feed and relax. well cushioned for comfort and easy to clean, no effort required to glide
a comfortable chair to rock baby to sleep, feed and relax in. Although a little pricey it has great padding and glides with ease. removable cushion and easy to clean, very quiet when rocking i almost dont realise im rocking in it. i have used this with 2 of my children..didnt have it with the first two but have used friends with our otehr children and wish i had purchase it years before
price a little expensive but it is well worth the expense for comfort following birth
These are a great chair, very comfortable and excellent quality. They can be very expensive though. I found a great selection on Ebay, second hand, but even these can be expensive as there seems to be a high demand for them. The quality of the fabric and the frame are excellent, though I have to say that I don't really use mine. It is very comfortable and it does get used occasionally if I am trying to settle on of the kids but I haven't used it for breastfeeding. Overall, a quality product that is worth the price as it will last for years.
Expensive if bought brand new.
I was in two minds about purchasing this because I thought it was too expensive but it was one of the best things we brought for me and the baby. I found breastfeeding easier sitting in the chair and loved the fact it was soft and comfortable. The gliding also helps to settle my baby. I would recommend this to any mother.
Fantastic. I enjoy sitting in the chair whilst breastfeeding my baby. Its comfortable and the rocking helps gently send my baby off to sleep. The chair is also good whilst pregnant, particulary if you have a sore back.
