This camera is almost un-usable , notification are hit and miss ,live view slow too load,this is a camera U can't view constantly so notifications need to be spot in and they are not,I wouldn't recommend
Don't bother – I bought this product 2 days ago. It took 20 minutes on the phone to Swann Security then another 15 minutes on the phone to my internet provider to get it going. The next morning the app asked me to update it which I did and now it won't work at all. Don't bother. Show details

Product is a joke and daylight robbery by Swann – Trouble from the start. Unable to connect despite speaking to a technician. Unable to charge. This is how the product works. A burglar walks pass the camera and you'll get a notification. It take about 1 minute before you're able to see the live view. Almost useless – Have one of these installed on the side of our house and very near to a router so the wifi signal strength is 100%. It does send a notification to my phone if there has been movement in the cameras range but most of the time when I try to look at a live view on the phone app, it just times out and nothing happens. I then have to clear the data… Read more
cache and app settings before it may work again. This is obviously unacceptable for a device that's meant to assist with security. The battery life is ok and have gotten as much as 6 weeks before re-charging. A hard wired in version would be much better.

Works Satisfactorily – I bought two of these cameras which purportedly have a 3 month battery life. The cameras connect via the Swann Security app. One installed easily and worked as expected. The other kept going offline, so I returned it to get a replacement, and that one now works as expected. The battery life will be nowhere near the 3 months. One has dropped 40% after a week, the other about 10%. basic security without having to wire the cameras Show reply
