Are the cameras in the dvr4 - 1200 1080 ? Or other ?

Hi, my DVR 1200 failed the update recently and now I'm looking for a Swann DVR that is compatible with my M180CAM 0503 12t cameras. They are 400TV line cameras. Any help? Thanks, John

have owned swann dvr4-1200 for many years and just found out there was a firmware update. I followed the instructions on the swann website and when i hit update in the maintenance menu of the dvr it said "updating do not power off device of disconnect usb. The screen then went blue with nothing on it. I left it like that for 20 mins and nothing changed, pretty sure it crap itself, any help?

Hi I recently brought one of these and I put the remote in a safe place now I can't remember where I put it can you buy just the remote on its own?

Hey! Thats unfortunate! You can still access some of the parameters and settings via the netviewer programe from your pc. These options arent avliable via a smart phone or tablet. My best advice is to either phone swann by googling your country's swann helpline number.

Or... check via ebay, gumtree etc? Although it is unlikely that there is a person selling just the remote. Its not normally something one would sell without the rest of the equipment. But best of luck! (Happy New Years!)

No sound recording at all on this camera

You can upgrade the cameras that do have sound recording, HD recording etc. The DVR-1200 comes as standard with 4 cameras which do show a clear picture. But not recommended if your looking for facial recognition at a distance of more than 15 feet, or number plates too.
