Black Screen – Black screen can occur within minutes of turning tv on or it may occur after a couple of hours. Occurs watching through optus box and watching free to air direct. Worst mistake of my life! – Update: TCL failed to resolve the issues to my satisfaction, however The Good Guys (the retailer we purchased from) did step up and replaced the units with replacement LG units. gone, with the same fault. Screen goes black without warning. TCL have units are only warranted for 3 years and therefore so sorry! Surely any reasonable person would expect $2,500 televisions to have a life expectancy of more than 4 years? TCL referred me to the Perth service agents, so I paid them to come and have a look. Technician said this is a common fault with TCL tv’s and the cost to repair is $1,330 per tv and no guarantee this would fix the problem.
So my recommendation is save yourself heartache and never, never, never buy a TCL product.
Buy something else – The first one we bought lasted less than 2 weeks, that was relaced under warranty. 42 months later the replacement tv packed it in. We have decided to purchase a new Hisense rather than throw good money away again, fixing an inferior product.
3 different issues in 2 years, useless – Not happy. This is the 3rd issue I have raised on the same TV within 2 years. picture kept dropping out, just sound and a blank screen. every time had to shut the tv off and then turn it back on again, eventually had to replace motherboard.
Issue 2 a year later. All streaming apps stopped, except for Netflix. Was on the phone to support for hours trying a bunch of things to resolve it, they forced an update and still nothing. So TCL Service emailed an update, I had to put this onto a USB and I had to manually update the TV myself using the service function.
Was ok for a day then stopped working again and was told by TCL service that to fix it I had to go into the settings, refresh the time on the clock and to resolve it.
Issue 3 (less than 2yrs after buying the TV) TV shuts itself down and restarts all by itself in the middle of watching anything ... streaming, DVD, USB input ... anything. Sent another support request no response yet.
You cannot even log tickets or issues via their support site, it fails to send. You have to call, only option.
Total inconvenience, never buying this brand again.

Do not buy this TV – TV starts off great good picture quality, but after 13 months we can now watch a maximum of 5 minutes of commercial TV before the screen goes black and you need to turn it off at the power point, remote unresponsive. later they send me a software update to load. The update fails to load send them an email stating it did not work as per their instruction and surprise no response. Wish I had stuck with Kogan or Samsung, which I still have and are going strong 10+ years later. Granted I am the idiot that took the salespersons advice at The Good Guys when I went in for the Samsung.
Wifi, Safe mode, Freeview, Customer service. All crap – Turning off the TV can take 4 attempts, Goes into safe mode. Wifi wont login to modem, its only 2 metres away from the TV. Freeview is missing channels. Try to get customer service, what a joke. Show details
2 yr life span on ALL TCL tv's 55" or bigger, PROVEN built-in obsolescence – Great specs and size, but like all the TCL tv's they will ALWAYS stop working after 2 years, almost to the day. until a dayboe so later when it happened again, this time whilst watching Foxtel. Each day it got progressively worse until it would go blavk every 5 mins and it was, of course, unusable by that point. I called TCL and thankfully kept the receipt. They sent out a technician who let us know that every single 75 inch TCL and Samsung TV has the same issue and the same component needs changing. He's done 500 in just the last few months! So keep your receipt handy as you'll be needing to call TCL sometime soon if you haven't yet!

Sound isn't great, you will want a soundbar if you want to watch any decent movies with some good audio.
Now to the issues, 6 months after buying we got some weird glitches, turn off or on randomly, started every so often then got more often, then we would lose image but sound would continue. After many calls and emails with TCL we are finally getting a tech out shortly as the TV now loses image after 15 seconds, apparently the tech will swap a main board. I have read this might only fix the issue for a time then it will eventually fail out of warranty. I'll update after the tech and see how it goes.
Verdict: if you can wait, save more money and buy a Sony, I'd recommend that.

Did the store visit and played with a few brands (LG, Samsung, Hisense) and the TCL is surprisingly good. I must admit I was a little nervous about the brand and all the bad feedback with the slow booting. Mine - I turned on the Fast Start feature and it worked fine. You need to play a little with the colour setting to get it right, the panel is quite bright out of the box. Easiest TV to setup that I have owned to date and the OS is the fastest (Currently have a Hisense, Samsung and LG), EPG is quick to load and has all details. Tested ghosting with watching the tennis and was extremely happy with the 100hz rate. Full access to the Play Store is a bonus. With the 3 year warranty it was worth the gamble for me as the screen will be mainly used for Netflix, Stan and movies.
For the hard core this TV will not cut it but for the everyday person wanting size over picture quality (compared to an OLED) this TV does not disappoint. Installed into my Media room 3m x 4m and it does not look out of place and compliments the room very well.
Will update this review if I experience anything negative with the TV.

happier with the quality of picture, the easiest smart tv I’ve had to operate for apps, YouTube Netflix ect.
The bonus here is they even offer 3 year full warranty for peace of mind at no extra cost (saving about $310). All in all give this tv a go
I have hooked a sound bar to tv however not really needed unless you want to pump out some tunes. TV takes about 50 seconds to start up the processor ect however once she’s fired up the 100hz is quick in changing channels & hooks automatically to your wifi without fuss.

TV tuner quality is good , and better the an the foxtel IQ2 for free to air channels , have alarge audio 7.1 system so the sound bar on tv was not required , but a google sound bar looks like next purchase
The sound output from the optic port on tv is very low sound output , and level cant be changed , so when you change with input on amp you get a large sound change , which is pain
over the next few months will try the 4k content from pc ( movies) and see how it performs , with a change to 4k cable on hdmi as well
Not worth buying – Bought this 75 inch 4K TCL tv a couple of months back believing we are upgrading. Other than the screen size, everything is a disappointment. The Android software is awful. The picture quality is worse than my 10 year old Samsung. Forget about 4k, you will dislike even the HD. I believe there is too much background bleeding.
Very disappointed. Have sent emails to the customer service for refund but they haven't even responded.
