Avoid TCL. Not worth your money – If I could give them no stars, I would. Purchased this tv in Jan 2023 after boxing day sale, worked well for a year. Last few days I noticed a weird light reflected on my wall, did not take too much notice. Last weekend I noticed a crack in the vessel of the tv in the top Rt corner. This TV has never been moved, touched or hit. This tells me… Read more

the build of product is poor.

Reached out to the vendor, who advised I reach out to TCL. After a bit of back and forth, TCL decided that as it is a physical damage, it is not covered by their warranty. I find that rather irresponsible, given it is a defective product. Instead, they are offering me a “confidential” discounted price for the same product, if i choose to purchase a new unit.

You can see the photos below and make your own judgment. As you can see, the screen is still functioning normally (for now), but on the side, there’s a gap. How cheap are the materials used for this to happen so soon after purchased? And the response from TCL leaves a lot to be desired.

I would avoid TCL in the future. I’ve have LG, Samsung and Sony that have lasted over 10 years with no issues, physical or software. TCL couldn’t even last beyond 2 years.

Update: After approximately 2-3 weeks of back and forth with TCL, they finally agreed to send out an independent technician.

The outcome: The adhesive holding the tv together was loosening. The other side was also loose due to adhesive issues, NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE detected (as i have been insisting).

They are finally replacing the tv, but will be receiving a slightly different model (supposedly of equal value). Finger crossed this tv will last longer.

All of the previous stress was unnecessary and could have been avoided if they just have better aftersales care.

Unpredictable TV not worth what I paid, extremely dissatisfied!! – I am so over this 65" TV, it has done nothing but drive me mad to the point I'm nearly ready to just be done with it and throw it. The picture quality for me is the worst very grainy and feels like a pre 2000 tv. Feels like anything but UHD/QLED. I expected so much more for the specs that this tv is meant to have and have been left extremely… Read more

disappointed.

The tv's constantly saying to connect to internet and no internet connection available, when there's absolutely nothing wrong with my internet or connection and have even had my internet modern updated and a new one sent out and still keep having the same issues so I know it's definitely an issue with the tv itself as no other devices have any issues only the tv.

It's extremely slow and lagging when trying to use the internet or move between apps.

And that's when the remote even wants to work, I've had to download tv remote apps to my mobile phone to be able to use the tv better and it's still c..p

I'm unsure how often the tv updates and software updates should happen but the last time there was any updates was mid 2022. And there's no more updates available? Doesn't seem right to me

So I'm done with TCL and days off being done with this actual TV

Brilliant choice – Our 7.5 yr old TCL was showing its age. So do we buy 65" or 75" and big brand or not? Eventually the TCL C727 is seen and it has some of the features others lack. Backlit QLed, 4k tick tick. So after looking and talking i ask...why should i not buy it. Audio is a bit tinny but the sound bar cured that. Its very sharp bright screen is terrific. Remote is basic but works. Good choice Show details

Not so smart – This tv is not so smart, google assistant only works some of the time, the pvr is all but useless. The tv guide is not up to date and annoying to use. Dont try to ask TCL AU a question as they never answer emails. All in all a very disappointing experience and not a smart tv. NEVER BUY TCL AGAIN ‼️‼️‼️‼️
