Good TV, let down by consistent coil-whine noise – TV works well in the sense that is has good picture and audio, the Google TV ecosystem is a plus. Subsequent firmware updates have slowed the user interface considerably. My main gripe is an annoying coil-whine noise coming from the TV as soon as turned on. Customer support told me to disable majority of the TV's functions to get it fixed… Read more

(didn't fix it), then told me the coil-whine is not a fault and just normal TV operational noise (despite my other TV's, including a TCL C735 purchased at the same time never making this noise). TCL would not rectify the issue.

Disappointed in TCL quality-control and service on this one.

Great TV, but! Required to create TCL account – Excellent picture, though may need some manual tuning to get accurate colour representation (colours pop but do not look life like). Impressive audio! Honestly, best TV speaker sound I've experienced. To the point at times don't even bother turning on my soundbar. Where TCL (Chinese brand) drops the ball is, if you want to use the TV as 'Smart'… Read more

by enabling the Android OS, you are made to creat a TCL account too. No way around it. Can not have one without the other. So you may need to create a new, separate Google account just for the TV to maintain your privacy. Also, the TV does come with microphone enabled by default, however there is a physical switch on the underside to turn it off, thankfully. Again, privacy.

Started off good and then turned into a slow dog of a TV – The thing turned into a slow clunky dog within 6 months. This TV has a beautiful picture and The sound is terrific you do NOT need a sound Uses google TV which is awfull. After 6 months the OS slowed down and it is as slow as a wet week. It never finds what you want. Always finds stuff you have to pay for . the TV needs to be reset every other month. They are good for a few months then it is a mess of bad programming and slow CPU response. Show details

Great value for Money – So impressed with the picture and overall quality of this TV. The only negative is the remote does not have any numbers to change between channels easily.

Stunning picture , excellent audio – We were supplied this TV by TCL as a replacement for a 2019 model 65X7 that developed a screen fault. The difference between the 2 televisions, apart from being identically sized, is worlds apart. The C835 Mini LED QLED has an absolute stunning picture, especially when live sport is being viewed. it is like being on a balcony watching the action… Read more

right in from of you. The addition of an inbuilt sub woofer to the already excellent Onkyo speakers makes for excellent sound as well. The featured apps are easy to access and we found a few that we had not heard of before but have given us access to some free doco's and movies. The operating system has not given any issues and connecting to our home wifi was quck, seamless and easy.
