Bad experience – Do not buy or deal with TCL. I purchased a TCL 65 inch TV just after the 3 year warranty it failed. They refused to repair it. The only offer was to buy the TV at a discounted price. That price was more expensive than I can buy from my local shopping centre. 3 years for the life of a expensive TCL TV is totally unacceptable. Again do not buy a TCL TV.

Don't waste your money look at all of the reviews before you buy – 65 inch smart TV just three weeks out of warranty with a black screen ,got sound but no picture ,it seems to be a very common fault ,look at all reviews don't even entertain buying one of these TVs I found it never connected to the internet properly always had to reset it ,absolutely piece of garbage expected at the last longer than 3 years paid $1,000 for it through the good guys Show details

Most annoying tv I’ve ever owned – I think it must be the wifi receiver that is absolute garbage, I’m so sick of the apps taking so long to load or just loading indefinitely, apps dropping out, not being able to change the channel you are watching within the same app, just bounces back continuously to the channel you’re trying to change. DO NOT BUY THIS TV!! Show details

Great value – I usually buy Samsung TV's but wanted something a little more affordable. I have had this TV for over a year now and I am very happy with this purchase. I haven't experienced any issues with pixilation and find the picture is great. I love the Netflix button however it does constantly loose connection not sure if this is due to the TV or the wifi.… Read more

The only negatives which I am willing to forgive for the price is once you turn on the TV the control will not work straight away takes a little time before you can change the channel or volume. Also since it is a TCL we could not add apps that we wanted, yes it has Netflix but we were not able to add the Foxtel play which you can do with Samsung which resulted in us having to buy Google chrome cast. Another little thing that bothers me is the control is noisy when changing channels as it clicks and I find this really unnecessary.

As I have said overall I am happy with the purchase and just hope they will update the system to allow the user to add apps.

Terrible! Disappointing! I want my old Tv back – I have had this TV for 3 months. I only watch it once or twice a week for a couple of hours. However YouTube continues to freeze from time to time, and the Tv just stops working at Times to the point that even the remote won’t do anything. I have to literally turn it off on and on at the power. I told TCL and they offered to replace it with… Read more

another brand new Tv, much to my disappointment the brand new TV is even worst. The YouTube freezes every 15 min on the new Tv, won’t load to the next video automatically, it just goes black to previous page. You could be watching a song and all of the sudden it pauses and jumps back into the previous screen and video selection section. Also the screen has a bad tinge of orange and is slightly fuzzy compared to my old Tv. I have tried changing all the Color settings to get it right but it just won’t work. I want my old Tv back :( such a mistake to change to a so called brand new! Never buying a TCL again

Great Quality For The Price! – I've been wanting a Smart TV for a while but didn't think I'd be able to find a decent one for under $1000....but my searching paid off. I picked this 43" TCL 4K Ultra HD LED Smart TV up for $590.00.....bargain. The TV is so simple to assemble and so simple to set up. I love having the Netflix app available as I already had an account but love… Read more

viewing on my new larger screen. I was excited at first about the other advertised apps; Go Live & HBBTV but these are crap and full of foreign TV, nothing at all interesting. I was hoping to have Freeview with this but unfortunately not....it does have You Tube and Facebook, which is fun. It also has the ability to record TV, via USB, which is a MUST for me these days.

The picture quality is awesome compared to my HD TV I was using and the sound is amazing. I only get the sound via the TV's in-built speakers and I can actually hear every word, it's so crisp & clear....it will be even better once I add a sound bar.

It has all the ports I need and looks great. The base/stand is nice & stable too.

I'm giving this TV a rating of 5 stars because it's better than what I expected for the price and I have had no problems whatsoever. It does come with a 3 year warranty too, which is a bonus.

Better than expected – Picture and sound are fantastic. More options than i would have guessed. Great price for money. Only fault that i can pick is the TCL logo on the front of the tv which acts like a night light in the dark leading me to think it may have a high standby power consumption  Show details

Bought 12 months ago and still running fine – TV works great, Apps "Youtube/Netflix/etc" are a lil slow to respond at times. Less than 5 seconds wait though. Picture and Sound quality are what you would expect at that price point, if not a little better. We have it running wifi through our pc and haven't had any issues with the wifi connection.  Show details

BULB ISSUES WITH THIS TV TWICE !! – We have had two of these (brand new from jb hi fi) within the last 18 months break due to the internal light bulb going.. twice. Two of the same TV's with the same issue. Do not recommend. Tried to rectify the issue with Tcl The first time and it took 4 weeks to get a resolution. Their support is rubbish and they just keep procrastinating to avoid having to fix the issue. Show details

Biggest hunk of junk brand of TVs on the market! – Just don’t buy one ever! Struggles to start have to constantly turn off to reset. Can take up to 20 mins thinking if it wants to start. Apps like binge just disappear. Home Screen freezes. Rubbish!

Waste of time and money – Not even 1 year of use, I just doesn't work. Once I try open an app it doesn't work. I knew this brand would be the best, but at least I was expecting to be able to watch TV. But can't. Waste of time and money. I don't know how the big stores still sells it. Show details

Good picture and sound but not all functions work as expected – We bought this TV 3 yrs ago. Ive never been able to access any of the freeview channels and youtube cuts out frequently. If using youtube for lengthy periods of time the tv freezes and only solution is to turn off at power point then back on and you have to go back to youtube to find where you were. Very frustrating. TCL - terrible!! – TCL is the most utterly worthless"smart"" TV on the market. Please don't make my mistake and buy a TCL; you'll regret it. The Android version that comes with this steaming pile of junk doesn't actually run any of the applications that I want to use. Don't even start me on the picture quality. At the end of the day you get what you've pay for. TCL… Read more

might be cheap but please, please buy a smaller Sony, LG, etc. that you can afford. Buying a TCL will only only leave a bitter taste in your mouth, wishing you either saved up longer or downsized your ambition to a smaller TV. When I bought a 65" TCL I gave my 55" Sony to my parents. I wish I could get my old TC back!

4K playback with DTS – This model is discontinued so it is likely a bit late for this advice. If you want to play movies from USB and it has the DTS sound codec, don't. The picture will be discoloured and the sound won't play as DTS is not supported by TCL TVs except for the latest 2018 models. Pity, as I can play these USBs on my older Samsung Plasma with no trouble. It appears to have taken TCL a while to catch up with the field.  Show details

Awesome Tv, Would Literally Buy One For Every Room If I Could – We really love this tv - the clarity, the focus, the size; it's just amazing! Or shows look better than they every have, and the HD is brilliant - when I watch my trashy Housewives, I can actually see now that they have flaws, lol. Great tv, highly recommended  Show details

Great product for its price – I use this TV effectively as a picture-only monitor - various boxes are HDMI'd to it via a Yamaha receiver. As such, I don't really use the Smart TV functionality (it's pretty poor) or the digital tuner (can't comment on how well it works) or the onboard speaker (it's one of the worst I've heard) or the remote (Logitech Harmony 650... well worth… Read more

the investment, just get one.)

As a gaming or TV screen it's a good buy for the money. Not the smoothest picture for movies or sports but that's what $2-3-4k TV's are for. Same goes for the sound, Smart TV functionality, recording etc. Use it for what it is and you'll be satisfied with it.

Value for money but lacking quality – No real problems with viewing/picture but I have encountered problems mentioned previously with the apps (YouTube is super frustrating to watch as it either freezes - which needs a hard reset - or just decides it's had enough and takes me back to the menu while a video is playing!!) Agree with comments regarding the remote too. The "clicking"… Read more

sound is insanely loud for no reason.

Netflix has also frozen loading - consistently does it on 24% but at least allows you to exit and reload.

Pathetic Warranty Service – I bought this TV which worked perfectly fine for couple of months. The tv started lagging and there was problem in casting videos from phones/ tablet. After numerous email exchange and replacement of the main board, the problem was not solved. Now they claim that the tv was professionally tested and was supposed to be working fine and denied refund/ replacement. I WONT RECOMMEND SUCH POOR PRODUCTS TO ANYONE.  Show details

TCL won’t honour their warranty – This 65” unit worked as expected for a couple of months then it developed a discolouration (grey patch) near the center of the screen. TCL replaced the TV with a 65e17US which has terrible contrast compared to the model I purchased (3000:1 vs 4000:1) and it won’t play a lot of media my other TV’s do. Good value – This is my first smart TV. Good product for the price. Picture quality very good although occasionally there is some pixillation. Sound is excellent and there are enough ports. Important consideration is that it is very easy to set up and operate. Overall impression is that it is a good buy.  Show details

Still good TV – We bought 65" TCL 4K LED Smart tv 1.5 yr ago. I am impress the quality of the picture. Plenty of HDMI port. The only downside is when you turn on the TV it takes time the remote to actually change the tv channel or to turn the volume up, well i guess the operating system of this TV takes time to kick in.  Show details

Don't assume things about a to just coz its smart – Slow warm up. Slow to change channels. Can't record and use a non to ( HDMI) channel. Big ugly recording block on tv when recording. Can't switch sound from to external speakers even after changing settings. Can't record tv programme and watch something on another hdmi channel - how can it not do this. Very pleased – I am very happy with the picture quality and sound and the over all appearance of the TV. It is a smart TV and please that method Netflix is already on it but all little disappointed it does come with other apps such as Stan. Not great – The apps stopped working quite quickly. Tried running updates and they still don't work. Luckily my DVD player has Netflix so I can use through that.
