Absolute waste of money leaks water only works if on flat surface and you press on it dont buy Show details
Should never have given away my iron – These products are meant to make your life easier not harder! Absolutely useless product and I’m so mad that I spent $169 on it. Have had it just a little over a year and initially I thought it was my method and I wasn’t doing it correctly. But I’ve only used it a dozen times and each time I use it, it just gets more frustrating. See the video on… Read more
how “amazing” it gets the creases out of these work pants. And where do I begin with the water marks.
It’s so heavy I actually dread using it. I should never have thrown away my iron.
Tefal DT9120 - I have never been so disappointed in a product – There is only enough water for one garment. All it did was spit water all over the item and put more creases into it than it took out. Only gets the wrinkles out if you press the plate hard against the item, but as you move it down, it puts creases either side of where you are holding the steamer. Might as well use an iron. It's quicker, easier… Read more
and more effective. I tried different items of different fabrics, all with the same result. It cannot do sleeves because you have to hold them and stretch them out, then obviously the steam is going to burn you. About the only accurate descriptions on the box are the length of the cord and the quick heat up time. Definitely the worst product I have ever purchased.
Piece of crap - steam iron / Aldi provided better service – Useless - convoluted instruction and not worth the $$$. Absolutely regret the purchase and no positive assistance. Never purchase Tefal again. Show details
Too heavy to hold yet doesn’t store enough water for more than 1 piece of clothing – I would not recommend this product to anyone. The steam/water only holds enough water to finish one garment and is way to heavy and big to effectively or easily hold. Because of the size of it I find it really hard to steam my clothes. It’s too large of a head that doesn’t fit easy into spaces and it’s so heavy that it is really hard to hold and I… Read more
burn myself very easily. The surface area of where the steam comes out of is really large but there are only a few holes in the centre of it and not all the way around it. I use a steamer at work which has a base and water tank that stays on the ground and has a smaller steam handle but more steam holes in it which works amazingly well. I thought this steamer would be good to have at home and I could travel with easily however even without water in it it is far too heavy and bulky to put in a suitcase let alone an overnight bag. Need to purchase a different steamer.
Good steamer, i complaints at all does the job for a quick free wrinkle shirt, happy with the product – Faster than ironing and very easy to use, 19 seconds after and ready to go, ya k capacity is more than enough, would be good if the tank is clear so is easier to see the water level,, Show details
Excellent steamer! – This steamer is so much more superior to other brands. Easy to use and very efficient. Have used others in the past but the Tefal works really well and the garment hanger makes it so quick and effective. Cheaper steamers are a waste of time and money Show details · 1
Great Tefal handheld steamer – Replaced our old clunky steaming unit (one of the large floor standing ones) with this to save on space. Initially I was skeptical that it would have the same power, but after 2 months of use I am so impressed with this handheld steamer. Has different power settings and fast heat up, so after turning on it's ready to go in a few seconds and able… Read more
to be switched between things like jeans to thin silks with one button. Came with a number of accessories, the best of which is the steaming board. We hand this on a hook in our laundry and steam against it so that the walls aren't damaged. Have even taken it outside to the clothes line with an extension cord and steamed our sheets while they are hanging, which takes only a few minutes.
It's a fairly standard weight for a handheld unit, with the water tank big enough to let you steam continuously for 20/30 mins (depending on the setting) without being too heavy to hold up. The button you press to steam is very light, so you aren't having to hold it and press down hard on something to get it to steam.
The only downside is that I wouldn't really consider it travel-friendly (it's a big too big to pack and take with you) - but this wasn't what we wanted it for so we aren't bothered by that. It's also obviously a bit clunkier than one of the floor units, as the water is in the base part and you only hold the steam wand - but that is because the water container and steam head are all together.
Definitely worth the money, it feels sturdy and the gold/rose gold looks really nice. Practical balance between how much water it holds and the design/weight. Hoping we get a few years out of this and definitely won't be going back to one of the large floor units.
