19 Oct 26: We have just purchased a glass bottom air fryer (for 1/3rd the price) after finding teflon in our food. Turns out that the screws constantly wiggling loose were wearing down the coating, hubby found bits on the bottom of the tray during a wash. Now I’m wondering how many other times I may have inadvertently added any to his food while tipping his fries into his dinner plate!!! We are disposing of this appliance. Not happy.
OP: We bought this Air fryer online from The Good Guys on 30 June 2025 and were originally very pleased with it. However, there is a definite design flaw with the larger drawer. It is absolutely impossible to shake the air fried chips and wedges etc. midway through a cook without the handle eventually coming loose. It’s been a constant problem and, upon closer inspection, it seems that the top two screws must screw into an internal part (within the drawer) as they are secure, but the bottom two just turn and won’t tighten. It’s never overloaded, we are a couple, but it seems it just can’t cope with the weight, having to do seperate batches in the smaller drawer is such an inconvenience. The book states the weight that each drawer can accommodate, but we find that food just doesn’t brown as well as it should with a fuller load. The teflon is also starting to come off the base trays that came with the appliance. Disappointing for an appliance that is just over a year old.

I originally purchased the new Hisense Dual basket air fryer. Big mistake. The Good Guys were so good as to swap the product over for the Tefal 11l Dual basket. What a difference that made. This unit is easy to use and cooks like a charm. I cooked 4 pieces of chicken in the large basket and some chips in the smaller basket. 36 minutes later I was having a lovely dinner of nicely cooked chicken and crispy chips. The unit is well built and easy to clean with the non stick surfaces. I am very happy with my new air fryer and would recommend this to anyone looking for a dual basket air fryer.

I am disappointed in the Tefal Duel Air Fryer. It takes longer to cook & food does not brown as well as my Phillips air fryer I have had for years. The instructions are not easy & there are limited recipes. I have seen the Phillips duel steam air fryer working , which browns really well & is quick. The Tefal has very deep drawers which I feel stops food from browning.

Preheat for 3–5 mins
Don’t overcrowd and shake halfway
Use a light oil spray for better browning
Try a rack or mesh tray for airflow
Slightly increase temp compared to Philips
