Great airfryer – This is my first air fryer. I previously mainly used oven but found it takes too long and doesn't automatically shuts off, leading to overcooked food. Oven is also harder to clean and used more electricity. I bought a Tefal as I want a brand that I can trust (I had a few Tefal appliances before) and the XXL size has decent size. It did not disappoint. It cooks quickly and evenly and doesn't need preheating. I definitely get better result than using a standard oven. Relatively easy to clean as you can put in dishwasher, but I managed to cut down the need to wash it by lining the base with aluminium foil or baking paper prior to cooking. The sound is within acceptable range - it's slightly louder than oven but not as loud as range hood. The excess hot air comes out from the grill out of the back of the machine so it shouldn't be too much a problem with any countertop. Tried the sync cooking feature but I find that it's probably the divided space is too small if you want to cook a lot of food. So far I used it to cook various frozen foods - chips, nuggets, pies, spring rolls, crumbed fish, etc. Used it to cook sausage, roast veg, kebab sticks, and chicken. Also good for reheating leftover like pizza. Pleased with its performance so far!

Far exceeding our expectations until it stopped – Friends and relatives have been telling us for years about the benefits of an air fryer. Our oven is getting old and is getting harder to clean. When The Good Guys had last year's Black Friday sale, we decided to buy one. Here are the things we liked about it: The price: The original price was $599 and discounted to $299. We had two $20 in store credits which brought the price down to $259. That was a good deal. Cooking: So far, we have used it for roasting pork, chicken, lamb and beef. Also fantastic with bacon. Also used for lamb and pork chops as well as re-heating leftovers. Cleaning: It is so easy and quick to clean, we love the way the fat goes through the grill and the meat is not sitting in it. Speed of cooking: It heats up and cooks much faster than a traditional stove. It is fully digital and has the ability to both air fry and to grill. We use both functions regularly. Storage: We live in an apartment and space can be an issue. The air fryer sits neatly on a shelf in the laundry and because it is so light, it is no trouble to take out and put away after cleaning. We will get a bit more adventurous in the things we cook as we get more used to it.
May 2024 UPDATE: We purchased this air fryer in November 2023 and were really happy with it. However, two weeks ago the drawer was removed to turn a roast chicken over, when the door was closed the air fryer did not restart. We switched the power off at the wall, turned it back on and then reset the air fryer. It then resumed cooking. Two days later, we had the same problem again. Fixed it the same was and continued cooking. Went to use it the next day and it would not accept any program. Took it back to The Good Guys and as we had purchased the 3 Years Gold Service Extras, they offered us a full refund on the spot or a replacement product. We took a similar Tefal model which also included a steaming function. I will do a review on this product in 2-3 months' time.

Update October 2025, not having much luck with air fryers, this one was also returned and replaced under warranty. On this one the handle came away from the basket. Replaced this one with a Philips, it's going OK so far.

3 years on, still works perfectly. I used it maybe once or twice a week (less nowadays as I'm currently bored of eating frozen food). I'm still using foil or baking paper as lining seems to work in lessening cleaning frequency. I have been washing it in the dishwasher all the time with no issue. Just make sure you take it out the dishwasher immediately and invert it as water may collect in the handle/other nook and cranny!
