For years I had the Sunbeam fryer which did the job, the last one I got didn’t get to the heat for deep frying, returned it and got a Tefal and haven’t looked back, wish I hadn’t been so stingy and bought one years ago.

Affordable and practical – I really like this fryer, small foot print, simple dial and basic timer. The basket, crumb tray, body and lid all fit in the dishwasher and come out very clean. It comes up to tempareture fast, maintains it well even with heavy loads and has simple functional handle and bssket with option to hang the basket and allow the oil to drip out. The timer is a bit weak and the screen not easy to read but value for money this machine does good work otherwise.

Rarely works, switches itself off – Really poorly designed and switches itself off all the time for no reason. It actually had a sticker saying to press the reset button if it switches off, but usually this does nothing, so the oil goes cold and ruins the food. Unplugging it sometimes works but a terribly frustrating thing for its price. Definitely wouldn't recommend. 2nd Tefal product we've thrown in the bin!
