The Little Yello Steam Cleaner

Just a dangerous toy – Pretty useless bit of thing. Run out of steam quickly and not that hot. Takes longer to heat up. Not even enough to clean a cook top. It is not cordless so you have a long tail to look after. Silly. September 6th 2019 Update: A small but heavy little jug. I thought it was pretty well made. But then I found it not holding too much water. The… Read more
steam was really not that hot and it ran out of steam rapidly. Having the power cable attached to it is cumbersome and not practical. Refilled it twice and I lost interest in it. Total waste of money
So called Steam Cleaner – It costed more than $800 but it is useless. It is a steam cleaner only and it cannot clean kitchen dirt and helpless. I was surprised that was made Germany and it is worse than what made in China. Show details

Steam not coming out, crap machine – Stopped working properly after 2 months use, cleaned all the tank with white vinegar, kept it always clean but now stops working after 30 secs. complete garbage, do not put your money on it, otherwise you gonna regret wasting your time and effort on this trash, plus no support from manufacturer Show details
T.V.S.N. let down – No five star rating here . Bought from TVSN, After a couple of uses. steam oozes out of the machine but not the nozzle. completely useless. It's in the garbage Best place for it. Shame about the couple of hundred plus I spent to buy it. This steam cleaner appears to be the worst available. I would not recommend wasting your money buying this product Show details
Good size – Bought this from Ideal world a couple of years back. I used it only once, it was perfect just what I wanted. I live alone so didn't need to use it so much. I tried to use again a couple of time everything was the same. I like to steam all my heavy curtains at least 4 time a year, except the steam was not hot just warm, enough for me to put my… Read more
hand in. I couldn't have done that the first couple of times. I used it as it was really hot and cleaned great. Ideal world did not want to know about my problem as was passed the 14 day or return policy. They couldn't even give me ph number or e-mail address of someone who could so left with a £50 machine that does not work. Would not recommend this item.
It only worked 3 times and hasn't worked since cannot get on to anybody about this problem – I'm throwing mine out a waste of money customer service is a waste of time they don't help. I have since bought a handheld one a quarter of the price and it a least works. I would never recommend this product to anybody When it was demonstrated on tv it looked good but nothing is good if it only works 3 times Show details

Absolute waste of money – Purchased 28/11/13 has never worked at all, heats up but no steam when trigger is operated, tried to send it back with no luck. Tried calling customer services but they were very unhelpful. So decided to put down to bad experience and save on frustration. Still got steamer husband decided to have another attempt today, but still no steam when trigger is pulled. Wish we had never heard of little yellow would not recommend. Apb Show details

Terrible! – Don't bother. We used it twice and it died. Nothing worked so got a refund for the supplier... From the hassle we went through to buy it and then send it back, then have to look around and purchase a different steam cleaner I would have scored this less than one star. Show details

Only lasted 4 cleans – I had a steamer just like this one in blue and lasted 10 years + using tap water & cleaning it out the same way as the little yellow one. This one however only lasted 18 months & used 6 times. I have only just come across this site & would have informed people that this machine is great in the beginning but doesn't last I suppose you get what you pay for. Show details

It was very good while it was working – The cleaning power was satisfying. It was light to carry and very easy to use. I loved it. But one day within 15 times of using it, it died. :-/ Parts of it breake easily so you must be very gentle when you use it. So I expected at least 3 years life but it only had one year life. My sister in law's lasted less than 3 months. It died too. The manufacturers must work on the life expectancy of this machine Show details

Very disappointed! – Similar issues to last reviewer. Stopped producing steam. Only used twice. No one seems to know how to fix it. No access to see if anything wrong inside. No one interested - after sales shocking! Seems to overheat very easily and need to wait ages for the valve to cool down to refill or empty. Show details

Good - But You Must Wear Gloves & Hearing Protection When Using in Confined Spaces – I have had my Little Yello Steamer for about 5 years & haven't had any major problems with it. Unlike some steam cleaners I've seen on the market, the feature I like most about the Little Yello Steamer is that it has a locking mechanism on the trigger handle. This is good because it prevents your fingers from getting sore after holding the trigger… Read more
continuously after a prolonged period. Without it, after a while I am quite sure your hand would get very achy & sore. However, I highly recommend that you must wear rubber gloves or else you may get a steam burn (if not careful). Also, I highly recommend the use of hearing protection in confined spaces (e.g: shower recess) as the sound of the steam gushing from the unit can be quite deafening.
Another feature that I also think is worth mentioning is the fact that a tank of water will last much longer than other steam cleaners (at least an hour) before having to refill it.
The thing I dislike about it is that one has to stop & wait for the red light to go out before recommencing steam cleaning. This can be quite time consuming, especially if you are either in a hurry to get your cleaning done or have a lot of large dirty areas to do, such as tiled floors.
I haven't used it for cleaning shower recess glass so I can't really comment on how good it works at removing soap scum or not.
This is a great budget cleaner so I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality steam cleaning unit. Unlike some of the comments previously made about the unit not working properly, I haven't had an ounce of trouble with mine. Admittedly, I don't use mine very often, so I guess that's why I haven't encountered any issues.

Wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money on this rubbish!! – It is rubbish, it does not produce any steam, just boils like a kettle and that's it!! Best steam cleaner I have ever owned! – I bought the Little Yello about 3 years ago. I saw it demo'd on TVSN and immediately fell it love with it. After the big clunky steam cleaner that I previously owned, Little Yello was a dream come true! The onboard storage for accessories was one of the main reasons I bought it. The very reasonable price was also high on my checklist. After 3… Read more
years of regular use, the unit has finally started to wear out. Sadly, TVSN don't have any stock on their website but I hope they will in the near future because I want to buy another one. It remains the lightest and easiest steam cleaner I have ever owned and I certainly got my moneys worth out of it. After the other expensive useless steam cleaners, Little Yello has been a breath of fresh air.
this is a waste of time and money – Was working really well but now it has stopped after a month not happy at all for the amount that it cost a total waste of money and time. Put in an issue and no one has come back to help. Very dissappointed with the item and the customer service as there is none. dont waste money or time on the item

Expensive for very little use – Bought one a couple of years ago. Used it a couple of times, now won't work at all. Left it on for ages but no pressure. Waste of money. Not enough info in the trouble shooting section. Will not be getting another one and will not recommend to anyone.
Piece of crap too be honest do not buy one – I bought one and used it once. When the water level was low meaning not enough to finish the area I was cleaning. I refilled it and it boils and no steam produces. I went onto the website to troubleshoot, done as required it still does not work and Ive burnt hand and fingers trying to release the pressure valve it's dangerous and the cleaner water… Read more

Gave up ! – My stream dream worked very well until I lent it to a friend who said she couldn't use it as she couldn't get the lid off. I had explained to her how to do it but now I can't even do it myself in spite of trying what you advised Susan to do. As I bought the machine a number of years ago it is no longer under warranty and I don't even think I still have the receipt. now wondering what to buy next.

Little Yello – Hot water leaks from both the hose and trigger when machine is heating up and cooling down leaving a puddle of water, I checked the troubleshooting section in the instruction manual which states; " Water comes out of the nozzle The Steam Cleaner develops a massive amount of steam. This may condense as water or water droplets in the steam hose,… Read more
tools and nozzle, which are then expelled when used after a period of cooling. This is normal and not a cause for concern."
The problem is I don't have little droplets (It is around a third of a cup of water, I measured it), this hot water runs out the base of the trigger itself and possibly where the hose joins the trigger, it is difficult to tell because of the amount of water. I am not sure if this is normal as it has always behaved this way. It makes no difference if the trigger lock is on or off. When I commence using I keep a cloth around the trigger to prevent scalding. The machine is new out of the box it was purchased on TVSN. I have had the machine about 2 months

little yello steam cleaner – I have only used this steamer twice. To day I wanted to refill but could not unscrew the pressurised cap. I waited until it cooled down but still unable to take cap off therefore product is useless!!!!!! As I said unabl to use it-very disappointing as we had a 25 ft room we wanted to use on floor tiles.

Good – Lots of guts from a small machine the only throw back is the attachments are not that good quality ! After the first use the brushes are out of form , and the window attachment is a puzzle, could not put it on. In overal the machine is good for mopping the floor or refresh upholstery, but not good enough for carpets or heavy duty cleaning around the house, or people with pets like me!
fantastic little steamer but – it was a great steamer i used it for about 3 mths, approx 2 3 times a week ,all the fucntions and adaptors were good but then it just suddenly stopped working, water still boils and the light still comes on but it creates no steam so no good threw away my box and receipt so gutted no longer use

Vitality4Life / Little Yello Steamer – Very Disapointed with this product from TVSN, started out OK but packed up after using once a week for about 5 months, back to the bucket & mop Show reply
Its ok does the job – I got one of these from ideal world and it went wrong so as i was within it year i had it replaced my second one went wrong after the year and ideal world did not wont to know you have to be very careful not to put tap water in it before you treat it in the bottles you can but also from ideal world these will treat a lot of water which can be used in any steam cleaner , i serest you inshore your little yello before your year runs out Show 5 replies
Disappointed – I bought the Little Yellow when it was on special and after attempting to use it I found it did not have steam that comes out easily and the extended pipe gets extremely hot and will burn your hand but nothing seems to come out at floor level when the steam does eventually come out it comes out the holes in the pipe were the pipes connect, and… Read more
this is very unsatisfactory from my point of view so I will now try and find a product that actually does the job in safety. This will go out on my next rubbish collection. TVSN this is a product that you may want to reassess as a product that you sell your customers
It works...but could be better – My Mum bought this steamer for me as I just moved into a house with lots of floors tiles. I first used it to clean the tiles in the kitchen/dining area as they had not been mopped for a week and I have two messy kids. My first reaction was that the floor extension was too short and I was bending more that I needed to to clean the floors. My… Read more
second feeling was that my hand hurt from squeezing the trigger and the handle is not very ergonomic or comfortable. It did clean the floor nicely, with no puddles or streaks.
The second time I cleaned the floors I locked the steam on and didn't put any effort into moving the cleaning head around, I just left the steam on a dirty spot until a light swipe removed it. Much kinder on my back and hand although my hand still hurt at the end.
My third use was to clean my bathroom. I used one of the little brushes and just locked the steam on to save my hand, and used a micro fibre cloth to wipe the surfaces down. It did a good job, I can't say it saved time, but overall the bathroom was cleaner.
The manual is not great, and as another reviewer mentioned, it does shoot out hot water at times - this only happens to me on the first squeeze of the trigger, so I know now to point it away on the first go.
I don't stop cleaning every time the orange light goes off - I wait the initial 12 minute warm up and then keep going the rest of the time. My manual says this is OK and from experience with my Laura Star Iron, it will regularly re-pressurise while ironing.
The power cord is very short which is annoying to have to use and extension cord, and it would be nice if all the accessories fit inside the lid. Cleans nicely without chemicals Needs a bit of tweaking to be more user friendly
Little Yello doesn't live up to the hype – After watching all the different infomercials and doing research online I finally relented and bought a Little Yello from TVSN when they had it on special with a free accessories pack. I can't say that it lives up to the hype on the TV demonstration. I read the manual carefully noting that the steamer should not be used when the orange light… Read more
comes on, which indicates the unit is rebuilding up steam pressure.
I initially filled the tank (up to 1500ml can be added) and waited the required time for the steamer to become pressurised (instruction book says up to 12mins). I then commenced cleaning using the extension hoses and floor tool, however after about a minute I heard a small sound like a "click" and when I looked at the cleaner, the orange light had turned on, meaning it was repressurising itself, so I stopped cleaning as noted in the manual.
Once the light went off, I started cleaning again, whereby the orange light came on again in another minute. If I stop and wait every time the orange light comes on, it'll take me hours to clean my house. Whilst you seem to still be able to clean while the unit is repressurising, you can also get hot water blasting out instead of steam - very dangerous!!
I contacted Vitality4Life about this, as others on the TVSN review site have experienced this same problem and the only advice I was given was to warm up the machine for 30mins, no reference at all to my query on how often the orange light should come on and whether this was a fault in the machine! I did however do as they requested and refilled the machine, waiting 30mins. The same thing happened with the orange light and the unit needing to constantly repressurise. I think this is a general fault with the Little Yello steamer that the company is trying to hide.
The instruction manual contains only Vitality4Life's address (in Byron Bay), no telephone or email contacts whatsoever in the manual or on the box, which I take as the company not wanting to be contacted regarding their product. I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone buy this product, I'm returning mine. I did however find what looks to be a great steam cleaner, the HAAN SI-A70 which I will be looking to purchase in the near future. It has a rectangular floor tool which suits my cleaning needs better than those which come with a triangular head. All the attachments click together which is handy. The unit continually repressurises itself and if you adhere to the unit's instructions, you have to wait each time for the unit to be repressurised before continuing to clean - time consuming & frustrating!! When using the nozzle attachment in a confined space i.e. a bathroom, the noise is extremely loud and I ended up putting on ear muffs!! I tried cleaning the grout in my bathroom using first the nozzle attachment and then one of the round brush attachments, but neither were able to clean my grout.
I also have a little yello and am experiencing the same thing with pressure. The woman… Read more
