Thermofan TF2400W
MPN: TF2400W1 review
Somewhat disappointed – This wall-mounted bathroom fan heater was purchased to replace a Skope brand wall-mounted fan heater that had given us 15 years of excellent use. The first problem is that the wiring was advertised as being "Standard as Plugin, Hardwired Optional." Our previous heater was hardwired, so this seemed ideal. However, our electrician said that the whole unit would need to be disassembled to hardwire it. In the Installation Instructions leaflet, nothing is written about how to hardwire. So the electrician installed a power point on the wall near the unit, which is not what we really wanted.
The second problem is that it doesn't heat very well. After being on for half an hour on a cold winter day in a bathroom that is 6 square metres, it doesn't actually warm the room. It just takes the edge of the chill. You can put your hand up to the outlet and feel hot air coming out, but it doesn't seem to have the capacity to really heat the room.
The Skope heater worked so well and heated the room so well that we assumed that this would just replace it. Sadly, Skope stopped making bathroom fan heaters some years ago, so another Skope was not an option.
