7 years ago I bought 5 Thermo.ix TM5. Last year I had a repar on one in excess of $ 500 + $ 169 for freight and quoteLast month I had to send an other one to the service centre. The quote was in excess of $ 800 + freight and quote. Not a good record for a machine which now costs $ 2,600. 4 of the 5 machines were a present to my daughters and… Read more

I bought a Thermomix about ten years ago, having been advised by a sales consultant that it was excellent quality and would last me decades. A couple of years ago the weighing mechanism stopped working and the dial was working only occasionally. More recently, the recipes were not displaying on the screen and my machine was not recognising the… Read more

various recipe chips I'd purchased. So I decided to get it serviced. I had to pay $169 before I even sent it off. After that, I was told it needed new parts. The service ultimately cost me $305. When I got it back, it still wasn't recognising the recipe chips. I contacted my local consultant who told me the recipe chips had been discontinued and I'd need to buy a cook-key, at a further cost of $249. Not only that, the Cookidoo subscription (for recipes) would cost $89 per annum. She also told me that Vorwerk would stop servicing my TM5 in about 5 years' time. So much for my Thermomix lasting decades! Given the high price of a Thermomix, I had far higher expectations of both the product and the customer service. Very disappointed!

Beware of Thermomix’s Subscription Practices I purchased my Thermomix in 2018 along with a one year Cookidoo subscription. After that, I used the device without a subscription until 2023, when I decided to repurchase Cookidoo. However, I was unaware that the terms and conditions had changed, effectively enrolling me in an ongoing subscription. … Read more

In 2024, I sold my Thermomix and no longer needed the service. Over Christmas, I noticed that Thermomix had deducted money from my account, even though my credit card had expired the previous year. When I contacted them, they refused to provide a refund, citing their terms and conditions.

They claimed to have sent me a reminder notice before renewing the subscription, but I never received it. Despite multiple requests for proof, they have been unable to provide any evidence that the reminder was sent.

I am extremely upset about this, not just because of the principle of the matter, but also due to the poor customer service I received across every platform I contacted. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to resolve the issue fairly have been very disappointing.

Because of this experience, I will never purchase a Thermomix again. Their poor customer service and subscription policies have completely lost my trust.

I want to share my experience so others can be cautious when signing up for Cookidoo. Make sure you fully understand the subscription terms and confirm whether you are receiving renewal notices, as canceling may not be as straightforward as expected.

time bottom jump the numbers. I did contact the costumers service where they suggest to send my TM5 to the repairs department for 99. but they will not guaranty me that the damage will be repair. And if so, will cost me more money looking the nature of the damage. They do not know why my Tm5 got those damage and when I suggested that maybe my Thermomix had some manufacture faulty, they denied. At some point the manager of the customer service said that the crack on the arms appear because I remove and replace the bowl to many times! Is that what we suppose to do when we want to transfer the food from the bowl to the plate??? What about the crack on the base of the scream? What about the Burn that appear on the bowl base??? They could not give me an answer. They were keeping repeat to send the thermomix to repair for cost of 99.00 pound. The customers service is awful. They never said that they were sorry for the damage of for the stress I was going through. They never suggest any other solution to my problem rather then send the Tm5 for a repair that cost me money. It really look like they are only interested on making more money rather than making a customer happy!!! I am very angry for the way they manage my problem and I can not suggest to anyone to by the Thermomix.

Great machine – The Thermomix is a great kitchen appliance that can replace almost all other appliances in your kitchen. The ability to precisely control the speed of the blades means it can perform multiple tasks such as mixing, blending, chopping, grating, pureeing, cutting milling, and pulverising. Also, the ability to heat things gives it a whole new set of… Read more

functions and recipes. The most up-to-date Thermomix is the TM6 but I would suggest getting the TM5 unless you want to spend $2359 plus the subscription for online Cookidoo which is the main feature of the TM6 and costs $69 a year. With the Tm5 however you can get recipe chips which usually come with the machine. Also, you can buy it second-hand for much less and no subscription is needed for recipes. (unless you get the Cook-Key which gives access to the Cookidoo recipes online and also costs $69 annually)

Love it! Nearly 7 years on and have never ever regretted my decision to purchase – I love the intuitiveness of these machines. You can put it on speed 9 with say almonds and it will do them to a fine grind, however if you have a liquid in the bowl, it knows and will do it as more of a pulse rather than just constantly spinning at speed 9. I only noticed it did this a couple of years ago. Yes, of course you can do most things in… Read more

other ways, but that generally equates to more time or other appliances that are needed. Highly recommend the addition of a second bowl set, I got one when I first got my machine and it has been invaluable. In my 6 years and 11 months of ownership, I have used my machine on average at least once per day. Some days I might not use it at all, but then on other days I will use it multiple times. I am actually wanting to get the TM6 as well so I can have two, there are often times I'd like to use two at the same time doing different things :)

Love my Thermi – My TM5 was passed down to me and at first I was very overwhelmed by it, but now I use it multiple times a day from cooking meals, to baking, to even dog treats. It has opened up a whole new world of food for me and I love being able to make so many things from scratch instead of constantly eating processed foods.

Good concept. Poor quality product. Should be a quarter of the price – Our TM5 has had every imaginable failure. Build quality is incredibly poor for the price. They profit well off of the repairs as well. And the interface is hideously slow. Gets worse every update. Not impressed with Vorworx. The community and recipes have value. The concept is good. Just buy a cheaper alternative if you like this style of cooking.

Lack of service centre in Sydney – Cannot drop off the unit to a service centre to see what is wrong with it and get a free quote. Need to pay $169 and then you have to find a large enough box, packing material and then lug it to a post office. They aren't exactly easy to carry in a large box. Not impressed with all the mucking around for what I would think is a popular product. Show details

Anyway I paid the $135 and dropped my Thermomix to the service centre where they told me that one of the parts I would like replaced was not in stock and wouldn't be in until after June. Ok so maybe I can bring it back and get it replaced when it comes in? No I would have to book it in and pay $135 again plus parts! I have no problem paying for parts and labor but don't like to be taken advantage of. Thermomix are taking advantage of customers and overcharging for service. updated the whole process. I needed a couple of parts, I was sent a message to pay, which I did straight away. By that afternoon I had a tracking number saying the service was complete which parts were replaced and it was ready to be dispatched. Next day I received my thermo back in the mail. Before sending it off I was worried about being without as it is in daily use at my house but before I could even run to the shops and buy a cheap set of scales and blender it was back in my kitchen. Expensive average kitchen appliance with appalling sales tactics and service – I've had my TM5 for several years, and use it on average 2-3 times per week. It's fairly good at making dips, soups, risotto, custard, corned beef, passata, biscuit and bread dough. It's poor at yoghurt, most meat dishes, rice, eggs, Bolognese type sauces etc. I purchased the TM5 for my husband as a gift. He was interested in making yoghurt, as… Read more

well as Italian pasta sauces. We tried cooking meat curries but these turned to mush. The automated yoghurt recipe was a complete failure. We've gone back to easiyo, as it gives consistently good results.

Whilst we're not impressed with the machine, it's okay. As we've spent an enormous amount of money on it, we've persevered to make sure that we got value for money.

The service is atrocious and deserves zero stars. I received a replacement machine due to multiple problems within warranty, however this was only due to the intervention of State Fair Trading.

This company appears unaware of their obligations under Australian Consumer Law, particular consumer guarantees.

Overall the machine performs a range of functions reasonably well, however nothing like the sales hype. There's a great range of free recipes online. No need to sign up to subscription services.

The sales model of MLM means that there's significant pressure to purchase. Unfortunately if something goes wrong, expect no customer service.

When I purchased, there was no real competition. Now there's a wide range of reliable brands offered through reputable retailers at a better price. Minimal adjustment needed to adapt Thermomix recipes to other machines.

If you are thinking about a Thermomix, don't buy one. Check out other options offered through reputable retailers. There's better options that can do more functions than Thermomix.

Rubbish rip off – Had issues with the scale feature. Sent it back to thermomix only to be told it will be over $600 to fix. The TM5 came back and stopped suddenly halfway through a cook and would not restart. It has now gone back to Thermomix again, we won't be paying this rubbish company one more cent for repairs and will tell them to throw it in their bin to save us the dump fees! Its great for some things, not for others, customer service-not great – I have had my thermomix for a few years now, I only use it for slices, biscuits, salad, risotto and dips, it does all of these things wonderfully, my family did not like the texture of the meat dishes so I don't use it for that. unfortunately they are not very helpful, they cannot tell you how much this repair would cost, not even a ballpark figure, so you could send the thermomix back at a cost of $135 (prepaid) and then they charge you the parts. So theoretically they could charge you anything, apparently they will send the machine back if you don't want to pay for the repair. I think as this is a very common problem with the TM5 they would know how much it would cost to replace the scales (worst case scenario) but they refuse to give any idea of how much it would cost to fix before you send it. This is very disappointing Thermomix, you could absolutely give an estimate of how much a common problem would cost to fix.
