Very good at what it does but lacks essentially Dashcam functionality – I rarely write reviews but thought put up my honest findings and opinions on this since it's very difficult to get accurate information and most of the YouTube reviews are biased since they got sent the product. I was primarily looking for a streaming video rear vision mirror - which this does exceptionally well. The video has almost no lag - it… Read more

is very responsive. The display resolution is great, you can quickly and easily adjust the brightness with a swipe of the screen. the camera has a much wider FOV than the display but you can pan the display up and down with a swipe also. Night time vision is good and headlights wash it out no more than a normal mirror.

as far as it's dash cam functionality goes - it is... ok. I won't go into all the functionality - it does most of what a dash cam should do. I'll just list areas it is lacking. 1) it has an inbuilt battery for parking more. not sure how long the battery will survive in hot Aussie sun. 2) when locking a file (either manually or via the g-sensor) - it doesn't lock the entire current file (1/3/5 minutes - whatever you set the loop recording to) rather it starts a new file which (in my testing) vary in length from about 30-50 seconds. it does record about 10-20 seconds prior to the event which is good but if you want more footage before and after then you'll have to manually go through and lock the files before they're overwritten. 3) there is no loop recording in it's parking mode. It goes to sleep and wakes when the g-sensor is activated. It therefore wont catch say a keying or a knock not strong enough to trigger an event. And because it's not loop recording, it won't capture anything prior to the event in parking mode - in fact there's probably a few seconds from the activation to waking and starting recording. 4) parking mode events are only 20 seconds long - and as above no loop recording so that's it.

TLDR: good resolution display, good resolution video files, little/no lag. 5/5 streaming video rear view. 4/5 driving dash cam. 2/5 parking mode dash cam.
