Seemed like a good idea – As my daughter uses a pacifier, this seemed an easier option then trying to take her temperature by ear when she was unwell. It takes at least two minutes to reach maximum temperature, which is a very long time when you have a sick child. It is also difficult to sterilize. The screen is not back lit, which would make night time readings easier, without having to turn on lights.
