Toro 4200 timecutter – Bought this mower in 2018 It has the v twin toro engine and 42 inch fabricated deck. It mows a large 8 acre block with ease. Very comfortable and easy to use. Extremely fast. Plenty of power and easy to clean and service. Plenty of parts oem and aftermarket. It is very study with a thick frame and deck . The only problem I've had so far is the… Read more
auto hand brake motor quit after 1 year. I didn't bother to replace it as the part was too expensive. I've been through 1 set of spindle and 2 belts and 1 clutch. Highly recommend. Like everything, if you keep it clean and well serviced it will last for ages
far better than my John Deere – Did have a John Deere X350 for about 12 months. Suffered a cracked seat and had lots of Chinese parts, wiring loom etc. Bought this Toro SD 4200 from Bike and Brew Maryborough, Qld and is a far superior machine, cuts better, far more comfortable and easier to clean. Took a while to get used to the zero turn but good now, Comfy seat with armrests so no mor sore back that I had with the John Deere. Highly recomend this mower. Show details
good so far – So I have actually bought a secondhand older one , not sure of age as yet suspect 6 to 7 years old. Bought it with blown Kohler courage 19 , google courage 19 and see the well known issues with this engine , thought I could get parts to re do motor but you cant , but Kohler australia will sell you a shortblock for $1300 or you can get a new Kohler… Read more
20 for $1700 , looked around and could get a new briggs single cylinder replacement for $1200 . ended up getting a second hand Briggs twin cylinder 20hp intek for only $300 on gumtree. . the briggs must have also been an option for the Toro as the briggs went on in new holes already there , everything matched up being same length and size shaft , only issues is different colour wires to mate up with original harness, took sometime tracing everything , turned over and running within a few turns, came to life , everything running fine. So just thought would do a quick right up is anyone has same issues with their Kohler courage 19 , so cheap zero turn for me and some fun for all up cost of $600.00. I have history with mowing friends Husqvarna 42 and thought that was a great zero until started using a Kubota 42 which leave husqvarna for dead , I think the Kubota is a better zero to this Toro but the Toro is 6 to years older , but the Toro is much better feel than the Husqvarna. Happy mowing.
Entry Level Zero Turn Mower – Just bought it last month and used it twice. For an entry level zero turn mower, it is great. Unfortunately it's quality control in US was not that good. My first mower was delivered with parts fallen out and it even couldn't started after one day. The retailer came and tried to fix it. He gave up and replaced another one. The new one worked… Read more
great.
After 4 years, I think it is time to do some update. The mower is still working fine. Change battery and blade once. I didn't buy the them from the dealers. I bought them from eBay. The only problem for me is steep slope. It is quite scary with a zero turn. Eventually I mowed the really steep part with a push mower.
Great mower – My mum and I got this mower to maintain our property after my father passed away. It's made light work of the mowing- mowing my lawn used to take me 1.5 hours with the old push mower. I haven't timed it, but now I get it done in propably about 20 minutes. Does a great job with the catcher on, the only trouble with the catcher is that it is quite… Read more
bulky at the back of the mower which means youve got to be a bit more slow and cautious near fences etc. Without the catcher it still does a great job, excess clippings tend to just blow away nicely, doesnt leave clumps of turf around. Fast, runs well. We've really only had a bit of trouble with the belt coming off twice, but in saying that our ground can be a bit uneven in places, and the belt is fairly easily put back on. Comfortable to ride, easy to steer and has all the expected safety precautions built in, like it will stop if the blades are engaged and you exit the seat. Well worth the price.
Great product! – Just purchased this mower last month and it is incredible! Big 50 inch cutting which is a bit of overkill for our acre but we mowed the whole thing in an hour! Very comfortable to ride. Well worth the price. Although we purchased a used one its still so awesome! Show details
Never causes problems, mow great not loud. Had couple flats on front which was a pain. Always star – Got to love my toro da bull. Only problem is the blades are not engaging, took switch to check it good. Service man said it might be a wire going to clutch. Got to get going fast to much rain getting behind the 8 ball. All in all my toro which I call da bull has been fantastic. I can mow for hours with my head phones on. Some times my fire break… Read more · 2
