My Toro xls420t ride on is rubbish – I hate this mower. Deck comes off the hanger everytime I hit a small bump. I have to constantly refit and retention the bar holding it up. Transmission is super slow . Axle seals popped out. The only good point is the Kawasaki engine which has been great. This mower has been [Content Removed] from day one. I switched to a second hand Husqvarna… Read more

with 600 hours. I had to replace all pulleys and belts on the deck and drive system for mower and new spindles and blades due to normal wear and tear and the steering shaft bush is worn but it a is fantastic compared the the toro that I purchased brand new several years ago. Never again.maybe it was just this model because I have used an older toro which was a good mower but this one is terrible.

Fantastic results over seven years – We have had this mower on farm since 2013. It’s worked hard and also been well maintained. Perfect cut for lawns also handling the rough stuff. Deck sits on hook which will displace if you bang it against an obstacle. Easy fix. Safety features are well thought out and slow reverse prevents any accidents. Highly recommend if you are considering a second hand purchase as this model is now superceded Show details

Good machine for the money – This mower is good for someone who looks after their equipment. It is not a machine for people who bash around their gear. I have had it for 6 years and done the oil changes per the manual with only small issues. I have disconnected the seat sensor because it is annoying and yes on rare occassions you will knock the deck off the hooks but… Read more

this is actually a deliberate design to save the deck from being mangled. Once you get to know the machine it will give you many years of good cutting.

This is a sour lemon – deck falls off, too, control bar falls out of chassis, slow forward & reverse, sucks too much dust into air filter, deck heavy to lift,

Lemon – I have owned this mower for approx. 2 years and have had nothing but trouble since I purchased it: * mowing deck comes off hooks continually & service centre has no answer * throws belts off continually - in fact the drive belt came off today so no ability to go fwd or reverse. Poor build quality. Do not buy one!! Very poor build quality & serivce

Does the Job Well! – The 420T is a tough, well built USA made mower. The Kawasaki twin starts first time, every time, and is more than powerful enough for my type of long, twisting runs amongst groves of trees. The 'self-cleaning' washing attachment on the deck is particularly useful when cleaning out wet grass build-up. The only problem I found was the lack of… Read more

product knowledge by the staff at Bunnings. Very reliable and well suited to the coarse mowing demands it is used for. Lack of product knowledge by the selling agent's staff.

Great mower – Great mower, well built. the only problem it that it throws the main belt for the cutting deck. this is easily fixed via an aftermarket belt. The thing is easy to drive, but doies not go very fast in reverse which seems a bit strange. Has all kinds of safety devices which try their best to stop you from mowing. Easy to use, durable, reliable and tough Belt gets thrown off, too many safety devices
