A bitter disappointment, glad I didn't buy it personally! – I love the look of the ute. It has good space for the rear passengers as well. The interior is reasonably well appointed. The media/ infotainment is lacking although it has great sound. The 2.8 turbo diesel puts out a reasonable amount of power on the power setting, on ECO it is gutless for only a minuscule improvement to economy! It couldn't tow… Read more

the skin of a rice pudding! I use it as a work vehicle and I regularly tow a trailer with a scissor lift on the back of it. When this is the case even on the power setting it will barely tow up hills! It has what it calls adaptive cruise control that works off a camera system. The cruise control does not keep you at the set speed always accelerating past the speed which has been set and it does not slow the vehicle down actively like ALL other adaptive cruise control systems on the market! This has the WORLD'S WORST adaptive cruise control system and what's more they've put it in many of their other Toyota models and it is just as crap! The driver's seat has a jacking up and down function but it does not stay up at the seat height you set. It has pressure sensors in all the seats so that it sends a seat belt warning every time there is weight on the seats even without an actual person and then it sends you the most annoying constant beeping sound ever that never really stops! You have to physically plug in every seat belt for the noise to stop driving you insane! In the past I have always loved Toyotas and have owned many, even Hiluxes! This generation of Toyotas proves they are riding on an old reputation they no longer deserve! It is the worst I have driven! My 1978 Corona was miles better than this and so were all my other old corollas and coronas over the decades and the older model Hiluxes. It's time for Toyota to get back to where they started and stop relying on old glories that do not belong to this generation!

I’m not excited – Purchased this car brand new in 2021. The most obvious let down to me is the cheap plastic that gets scratched! I thought spending $50k on a car would get me a good quality interior but I was very wrong. The car drives ok but the turning circle is really bad. This was supposed to be my dream car but I’m not excited to have it and to have paid $50k cash for it.
