Awesome – Nice product to purchase, has clear and fantastic sounds. Great to using during and having parties at home
Be careful, there is a well known battery issue – This product promises so much and to be honest it sounds great. But mine turned into a brick after 1 month and then I learnt that Ultimate Ears actually have a refurbished program for this speaker, for this reason...it has a known battery issue. I was so annoyed as it was Christmas and I was on holiday with my useless speaker that wouldn't work on battery. I tried to factory reset a number of times and it didn't work. The US based support was useless, mostly chat bot responses that caught you in a loop. If you're considering one, maybe get one of the refurbished ones because then you know for sure you're not getting a dud! I'm sure there are many people who were lucky and don't have an issue, I was just unlucky and it really annoyed to the point where o just got a Bose instead.
Purchased in for $399.
This thing is a beast – The speaker is sooo good, it is loud and bassy. It is wireless and also has optical and AUX, USB port also included to charge tablets and phones. I love this speaker so much I am going to buy a second one. This Monster will perform well at a decent size party.

My Neighbours Hate Me – I absolutely LOVE my Hyperboom so much so I have named him BOOMY!! This speaker is a massive portable speaker and I will admit it is quite heavy. In saying that I haven't come across a portable speaker like it. The sound quality is AMAZING with just the right amount of Bass and Clarity it makes for a great listening experience. Because of its squareish shape with speakers on all sides the 360-degree sound disperses beautifully in most atmospheres.
Upon looking for a new speaker I will admit I was quite hesitant on UE only for the fact that one of their features allows other people to connect their device without permission. This is a massive problem for me in social gatherings as it doesn't help for consistency in music and I can be somewhat of a music hog. Anyways although this is still possible they have created 2 pairing stations that needs to be physically changed on the speaker. For my own selfish needs I do not make this known to other listeners, mainly as it is my speaker therefore only fair my music haha. Yes I am crazy when it comes to music and the speaker it comes from that's why you can trust me when I say the UE Hyperboom is the best. This was not a quick decision. I did my research and tested a lot of portable speakers before I decided to go with this one.
You can also use the Hyperboom as a power bank which comes in handy on beach days or camping trips.
The battery life is adequate, On full charge I once took it on a 4 day camping trip and it lasted 3 days which was amazing to me. Obviously the battery life will depend on How Loud, How Long and if you are using it as a power bank, however fully charged it's a soldier!
My neighbours hate me, quite often they have popped their head over to ask me to turn it down. If you are looking for a subtle speaker this is not for you. On social functions Boomy is often requested from friends and family members to be the source of sound. I am currently in the process of finding a trundler for safe travelling as the side handle can be a bit awkward to carry especially because it is quite big.
Overall I cannot fault this speaker and believe it is well worth its price.
