Internal battery not working - brand new – Bought this on Thursday from good guys. Internal battery not working so will not work unless car switched on. Bought it for an extended trip for safety - leaving very soon - so very annoying. Have emailed customer service at uniden. Let's see if they respond and rectify. Show details

Easy setup, easy usage, unreliable auto-on – Despite being securely connected to the power outlet and the light showing the camera is receiving power, it fails to automatically turn on with the car more often than not. Show details

Nice little unit, won't take Scan disk memory card – It's an easy to set up unit, it doesn't like Scandisk memory cards, it will work but you have to push the return button at each start up and then it may not work (I found another card I had to use). Good, clear picture and mic, value for money, just make sure you have the right memory card before you leave the store. Show details

Good when it chooses to operate – Recordings are very clear but on numerous occasions I have gone to retrieve information to find footage missing. Was behind an incident yesterday and the footage was missing that would have supported the drive off that occurred. Will be replacing camera with a better unit. Yes I am technically proficient so its not user error. Show details

Randomly won't turn on – The dash cam performs really well when it turns on. Every 3rd/4th time I drive the car the igo 30 won't turn on. It's useless if it's not on everytime I drive the car. I've now returned it and bought a Navman Show details

Moderate – The Uniden iGo cam 30 is a dash cam with 1080 FHD recording. The dash cam is able to capture pretty much everything, but the flaws is that the numberplate are not always captured. The camera finds it easier to capture Yellow numberplate with black writing. Although the camera records everything clearly, the battery life only lasts 10 minutes… Read more

(without charge). The parking mode on this dash cam is triggered by vibration and can be minority delayed i.e someone rams your car whilst parked and speeds off, the camera will turn on but record the hit and run vehicle a bit late and thus, fail to get the rego of the vehicle. Also, with most dash cams, you would use the supplied cable to connect to your PC/Mac/Linux with the cable and review any recorded footage. The uniden igo30 cam's cable does not work or act as a "data cable" and thus, you require a Micro SD card to SD card converter in order to review any footage on this dash cam.

Overall, I believe the Uniden iGo Cam 30 is a good camera, but the price tag of $99 to me, is considered a "high end" dash cam. Although there are many dash cams out there that go for over $500, the Uniden igo30 will do just fine.
