Overall very good – The unit does seem to be a litte underpowered at the displayed amperage but would still recommend it for the price. It is also a bit smaller than the competitors units. The new T2FX torch is incompatible with all common tig torch accessories including replacement torch heads. It also has a significantly longer torch head than a 17 or 26 torch and… Read more · 1
gas coverage was poor with the standard collet. Unimig finaly agreed to swap it for a 17 torch after my review which I'm very happy with. Overall seems to be a good unit and hopefully will be as good as my previous Unimig welder
Never let me down, awesome unit – I never write up reviews normally, however after using this machine I thought I'd write up my recommendation for this unit. I bought it a few months ago after I was recommended it by my mate who uses it to tig weld parts for his ute as well as various other bits and pieces. I followed his advice and purchased this unit and have been happy with the… Read more
quality of welds & reliability ever since! I've tig welded lots of aluminium pipe (for my car parts) and the finish looks like iv'e been tig welding for years! If your after a tig welder, trust me this is the machine you are after.
fair machine for price – Have been using one of these machines in a workshop environment for a few weeks and am impressed as far a to consider one for home. Great on ally up to 3mm, capable of thicker but struggles, found I was getting more current using the foot peddle than the button on the torch, only problem I had is the rubber on the torch head has let go from running too hot but would be replacing this with a flex head anyway if it was mine. Absolute Crap – 200 chinese amps equals about 140 western amps. Started a job and they have 2 of these. Both are the same... Crap Welding a fillet on 3mm ally id only need about 130 amps on a proper machine. On these I have to go full ball. Welding 6mm ally is impossible. Not enough power. The display on one machine keeps telling lies giving me readings of… Read more
over 300 amps.
The torch cable is so short u have to drag the unit to each weld.
The machine is missing some functions like hot start and AC frequency which are handy when welding aluminium.
That's my opinion anyway coming from within the industry.
For the weekend warrior at home it mite cover their needs but id look at a second hand AC/DC tig.

No frills AC/DC with everything you need and nothing you don't – Bought to do Aluminium welding and has been flawless. Foot pedal is an optional extra and is a little cumbersome and fiddly to get right, but one accustomed works fine. 3yr warranty is also a good peace of mind. Only gripe is that you can't visually set the amperage before starting, and you can only read the current once welding which is a bit… Read more
impractical.
Otherwise, so far so good. Price, warranty and parts availability Looks cheap, attention to detail a bit low, i.e. knobs and decals look like a cheap toy
