Vanish Gold for Whites Powder

Whites remain White – I admit to being a tad OCD when it comes to white clothing, nothing looks as good as a crisp white top or pants. Thanks to Vanish White Powder I have white clothing that I have had for years and they are still a bright white. A quick soak and a warm wash is all it takes, works just as well in cold water, but l prefer to use warm. If anything gets the odd stain…a longer soak always removes the unwanted. It is available in most supermarkets for around $9,and worth every cent.

Demonstrably good!! – I only use white linen on my bed and they had become a little less than white-white. So I started to use this product this year and I can definitely say that I see a huge difference in them now as they are back to looking almost new. BUT - I have to say that I do go to some extra trouble to keep them that way. Once the sheets are in the machine, with the laundry detergent plus some Vanish, and the first wash cycle is about to start, I leave the sheets etc. to soak in the water for exactly a whole hour, then I let the wash begin. I'm sure it's the "pre-soak" in Vanish Crystal White that has helped.

Yellow tinge ---> bright white – My white cotton business shirts often lose their whiteness after a period of time and need to be made white again. Vanish Gold For Whites brings them up like new every time, bright white and in less than 30 minutes.
This works, but you need patience – I'd like to share my story about removing colour run from my cream polyester dress, using this product. Not sure how, but I noticed my dress had light grey colour run, and due to my impending travel, I just left it to dry. Four weeks later, I tried various ways to remove the large light grey patch. Note that it was very light grey, so not too bad, but visible and I desperately wanted to restore the original colour. I tried Dylon and Dr Beckmann colour run removers, didn't work. I then tried soaking the dress with a lemon in water, but unfortunately this created a lemon stain on the dress, which was bright yellow! This new stain became my new problem, as it's more obvious than the light grey stain.
I didn't give up, so what I did was spray the lemon stain with Vanish Preen, then covered it with baking soda and white vinegar. I repeated this process every 1-2 days. At the same time I also soaked the dress in Vanish Gold, for 3-4 weeks, changing the water every 2-3 days. Now the lemon stain and the light grey patch are >90% gone, no longer noticeable. Happy to have saved my favourite dress!
