5 years still going strong – Decent vac, still going well after many years. Needed to replace the handle, more of a wear and tear thing though. Gets through pet hair etc with ease. Love it to bits Show details

Best vacuum cleaner I have ever had – I vacuum my carpet and kitchen floor (lino). The vacuum works great on any surface I have used it on. The suction on it is fantastic picks up everything including my dog's hair, easy to empty, and very light, even a child could pick it up with one hand. I highly recommend this product.  Show details

Heap of rubbish – Don't buy it. Don't say you weren't warned. Notice in the 1st photo on the top of the turbo head is a little "red" thing?? This is the clip that holds the hose onto the head.. its made of plastic and clips on by two little tiny ferrules on the side of the clip which is also plastic. They break sooooo easily and then the vacuum is useless till you… Read more

can get another.., which is not an easy task. I have contacted Vax to try to get some replacements but have NEVER got a response.

Update; its at in our shed for nearly 2 years due to the 4th broken clip

.., expensive heap of junk.., till we found a use for it..., sucking up Rabbit poo in our rabbit hutch..., and "THAT'S" all it's good for.

Dissapointing – Was talked into this model by sales person as a light weight but powerful, easily maneuverable and low maintenance cleaner for my 84 year old mother (who is very spry and does all her own cleaning) Subsequently found it to be fairly clumsy, heavy, difficult to maneuver in tight spaces and completely inappropriate for her. The cleaner is… Read more

reasonably quiet but the suction is not as strong as claimed

The awkward power cord was a disaster continually becoming tangled around feet

The head of the cleaner is strangely shaped and fixed in such a way that it makes cleaning corners difficult

This machine was bought as a backup daily cleaner to the Miele Barrel cleaner that she has

It now sits in my garage unused

Smart looks, average to poor performance

Disappointed

Most amazing vac ever – This vax is so lightweight I can lift it with one finger. The suction is amazing for such a lightweight vacuum cleaner. You can see in the window just how much it picks up. Also easy to clean and empty with it being bagless. I have real mobility issues and have found I can actually clean all my home in one day. It used to take 3 days with other cleaners. I love the overall feel of the handle and accessories.  Show details

Great lightweight upright vac! – Just recently purchased this, and have only used it the once but am so far very happy. All the reviews I had read about this seemed to be positive. It is very light and easy to maneuver. Wasn't sure about the 1200w pre-purchase as other vacuums are higher but the sucking power is good, no issues at all. Would definitely recommend!  Show details

Var Air – Happy with the suction and the ease of moving from flat floors to carpet. It is very lightweight and easy to manouver. My only gripe with it is the pain of having to change hoses to clean lounges/ upholstery in car. I have a 4 bedroom house with 2 living areas so it gets a good workout!!  Show details

worked for a year then stopped – I bought this vacuum cleaner after seeing it in Godfreys and I thought it had a lot going for it. However, after a few months of use, its flaws became all too real: - The foot is small so it does not cover much area. - It is extremely difficult to manoeuvre due to the motor being heavy and it swings from side to side taking a lot of strength to… Read more

keep it straight. The heaviness of the motor compared to the smallness of the foot made using it a whole lot of effort for very little area cleaned.

- The connection of the hose to the foot kept coming unclipped.

- The foot was too low to the ground and I would have to lift up the whole cleaner and put it over the top of large crumbs for it to suck them up. Most of the time it just pushed the large debris around without sucking it up.

- Came with about 6 extra tools that I never used.

- The hole in the foot over which the hose clipped clogged up with dust/hair/lint and there was no way to clean it out.

- Suction was average at best.

- Stopped working after a year of light use (it was our upstairs vac for two small rooms and wasn't used often).

Do not waster your money on this one. It's vacuum cleaners like this that have made Dyson and Shark the major sellers that they are today.

Blew up! – Great vacuum cleaner to start with! Sucks up all the dust etc! Until the power started to cut in & out then it blew up & cut the power off in the house! What a waste of money! Should have brought a dyson

Maybe should have bought a Shark? – We were going to buy a Shark Vacuum after seeing them advertised but I went to Godfreys at Toowoomba and asked what the nearest competition was... The Vax3 Max Total Home Upright... I tested it and it seemed like it should be good. I stated that I wanted a vacuum cleaner that would last at least 10 years. The suction is great and it makes carpet… Read more

mats look good. It removes a surprising amount of dust. Easy to empty without coughing and wheezing. Extra tools provided and versatility A clip broke after 4 uses...Have phoned twice re Warranty Service and no call back in well over a week. They say the whole thing has to go back for warranty service. Can't they just replace the plastic clip?
