I bought this to deal with some deep pile, braided leather and jute rugs; all of which catch a lot of crap. Because stuff can get buried in their fibres, makes it impossible for my stick vac to effectively clean them. So wanted something with some serious grunt. This machine has it. It picks up kitty litter buried in the pile (reconstituted pine pellets) and cleans around the edges of rooms much, much better than any other cleaner I've tried (stick vac and sweeper). I've only given it 4 stars rather than 5 because: 1. On page 2 of instructions it states for domestic use only, but it's called a commercial vac! and 2. The plastic hose extensions are push in with no 'catch' so can come apart when using. Pictures are of before and after cleaning kitty litter from thick rug. This vac doesn't slide easily over thick pile, so I used it in one direction - pull; so best for hard surfaces and low pile carpets. Suction too strong for some uses. Very, very good suction.

False and misleading advertising – Let's highlight the positives first: this vacuum generally has impressive suction that outlasts many others on the market, although it does lose some suction over time I have one atm that has lost full power. Taking care of the filters and bags ensures its longevity. Its backpack design is appreciated for commercial cleaning, even if it's not favored by all my staff.

However, there are significant drawbacks. The vacuum's weight is not ideal for commercial use. The power cable design causes frustration, often disconnecting and tangling, which leads to wasted time and effort—a major issue for my team. The worst part is dealing with Bunnings for returns or warranty claims; despite a supposed three-year warranty, getting a replacement or refund is unreasonably difficult, which I feel has questionable intentions. After my experience I do see that labelling it "commercial vacuum," is a deceptive and misleading statement as it lacks the durability and user-friendly features expected in such a product and our industry.

Ultimately, I'm not seeking an exchange as it's not suitable for commercial use; a refund would be better, but doesn't really cover the loss and costs involved by using this product more importantly, I urge Vax to reconsider its classification as a commercial vacuum and to address its design flaws. The aim should be to truly meet the needs of commercial users without the current hassles and shortcomings.
