Absolutely brilliant product, best of it's kind – That other reviewer, totally dismantled, had no idea what they're talking about. This machine is exceptional in value and ability. Highly recommended. Thank you, Sam.

Product Not working. Abusive support staff. Stay away from using this product – I ordered this product to play 4K media and since day 1, it was crashing and rebooting. When seeked help, support team just keep asking for logs and logs and without any solution. When requested for reason, most of the support staff got abusive. I actually put the device in to the BIN and bought a Nvidia Shield which is working flawlessly. Please stay away from this product at all cost.

This post is by the previous reviewer. We will not give in to extortion. You have threatened to continue write bad reviews until we pay you money and send you new devices. We will not do this.

We will take legal counsel on this matter.

Cheap buggy product which crashes all the time and unable to play 4K movies – I got 3 VERO4K devices & since latest update of OSMC device highly unstable and not playing 4K movies. Require daily reboots and top of this as per support, I have posted in the forum as support team start abusing me.

Unfortunately this review does not quite tell the whole story.

In September 2019 you reported that your device would need to be manually rebooted after a period of inactivity. We made some suggestions as to why this could be occurring -- namely, you had installed some software on the device that was not stable and advised you to remove / disable this. You then reported that this resolved the issue.

Then, on 30th March 2020, you then opened a support request on our forums stating that your devices were not working correctly and that you were experiencing the same problem. You did not state that you were unable to play 4K films however. We looked at your newly provided logs and I suggested that you disable some add-ons (third party software you had installed on your system) as they were the likely culprits. You asked me to specifically inform you which software packages you had installed that were causing a problem. As stated previously, we cannot provide official support for third party software and we recommend seeking resolution for any issues with such software directly from their developers / maintainers. Furthermore, we are unable to assist with 'pirate' add-ons or software that allows / trivialises circumventing copyright protection or gives access to copyrighted material.

You then stated that we were not providing you with any support: "It’s a fraud to sell goods with falsely claiming support available in the buy now page.". We reminded you that we are able to provide support for direct product issues, but we are once again unable to provide further information as to which add-on(s) were causing your device to run out of memory. We did however advise that disabling all of the add-ons and enabling each one individually should allow you to identify the culprit promptly, but you refused to do so.

The posts then turned abusive, with profanities directed to both OSMC team members and ordinary users on the forum who were trying to help. Lastly, you requested a refund on the products which you have since March 2017 (over three years). I explained that we could not provide a refund after such a period of time. Our records show that you have been using these devices consistently for three years. Further, I explained that were reluctant to provide further support, because you had initiated chargebacks in April 2017 claiming you did not recognise the charges, which caused us significant expense.

Having started a support request asking support for third party software which we do not develop or maintain, and then posting abusive comments and accusing us of fraud, I had no option but to close the thread. You are still able to open new support requests, but I suspect that you have now moved on.

The posts you have made, including your statements are still available on our support forums for others if they wish to read them and make up their own minds regarding the matter.

Unlike your OSMC forum, you can’t turn off this post. This OSMC product is the most crappy product I ever used and now using Nvidia Shield which is working as expected. This post is a warning to all that not to use this product.

Dan -- we didn't delete any posts you post on the forum and they are still viewable today in the interest of transparency. We did have to close the thread to prevent further replies however after you repeatedly made abusive comments not only to our staff but also to other forum members who simply tried to help you. We are also unable to assist you with support for add-ons which provide access to copyrighted material free of charge, as this is a criminal offence. OSMC does not develop these add-ons, and any issues with these add-ons would be best taken up with the developer of these add-ons.

I've checked and see that you are still using the devices. You are still able to make new posts and support requests and I can see that you are still making new posts in the forum: external link  with your last post from January 2021 advising users on how to use a Samsung remote with the device.

Thanks for your understanding.

Sam
