found that giving my boys only 1/2 of one of the tasty chews eases my older boy's anxiety during storms and settles my younger boy without doping them out. This occurs within minutes of them eating the chew. The affect only lasts a short time (around an hour) but that's all that is needed. I would like to reassure that we do not give these to our boys daily, not even weekly - quite the opposite - we use them in conjunction with comforting and settling our boys with love and attention. I have heard of others who have used pharmaceuticals to settle anxious dogs - these chews do not dope out our boys. They do not get wobbly on their feet or unresponsive.
