Good range hood at a great price – Was after an unbranded range hood to compliment the Westinghouse oven we bought because the Westinghouse equivalent had terrible reviews including from Choice. Managed to negotiate a deal on the Viali 90cm SS (V3FC90SS) range hood and external vent system for under $400. Small issue with installation because the mounting hooks let the front of the hood drop below level, leaving a gap from the hood to the flue cover. Easily fixed with 3 small packers (actually 20¢ pieces) stuck out of sight to the back of the range hood pushing the base out and bringing the range hood back to level. All asthetically good now and works great.

This is the worst company for customer service – New range hood fitted end Nov, within 4 days all the lights blew. As per their guarantee we were responsible for lights. Got our electrician to fit them. He established it was a product fault. I contacted Viali via email and also via the store I purchased from. They have repeatedly tried to contact them and it is now 12/2/18 and still I have had no response. So disappointed and disgusted!

Easy Install and very capable Stainless Steel 90cm 3 speed Rangehood with Bright LED lights – We needed to replace our dead Bosch 90cm Canopy Range-hood, and found this product on special at GoodGuys for under $180 (States RRP of $349, but I did not find anyone else selling it so it is hard to tell if that is make believe retailer RRP). The unit was an easy swap from our previous Bosch canopy, it comes with all the screens and wall plugs required to install. Our previous canopy had 2 X 40W tungsten lights, this unit has 2 X 2Watt LED lights that are easily 3 times as bright and natural daylight color light too.

From Google searches, I can see that this unit has sold as low as $148 in August 2016. (Link to that price: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/261614 )

So easy to install, and the unit when on full speed is audible, but certainly not noisy (Our old unit on full speed and we could not hear our radio). The air flow is rated at 500 cubic mt per hour, and I cannot be sure if that is correct, but I can state that when we placed an A4 sheet of paper against one of the three filter pads while running on LOW speed, that the paper held fast to the filter. A business DL sized envelope holds fast to one filter if speed is on MEDIUM setting. When we used a WOK to cook on high heat, with all the steam coming off our steaming vegetables (On high heat with lots of steam) no steam escaped the pull of the canopy when running on high speed. So the unit is fine, and a decent price too.

Of note, that this unit is manufactured with brushed stainless steel sheet metal, not plastic as many cheaper units these days. The LED lights are made up of multiple small LED cells, so if one cell dies, the lights will still work just fine.

We found an identical (Except for the outer manufacturer cardboard carton) 90cm range hood at BETTA Electrical. Under the manufacturer name Robinhood. So this is a generic range hood sold under various branding for wildly different prices.
