Vico-Marcus 4

Really a bonzer dashcam – Had this dashcam now for about 7 years and it's still working. Occasionally I have a bit of bother with recording's as it is always on when driving. Still, would not be without it. I know how to reformat the SD card, so it will always be with me.
terrible product a waste of money – Bought the product Oct 2015, worked well for a couple of months then had problems - intermittent working, rear camera stopped working. Had the front camera replaced as found to be faulty. After a couple of months still had issues with the replacement camera. Changed the camera to another car. Appeared to work well until recently. Now same issues again and has totally stopped working. I have two cheap $60 which I purchased about six months earlier. Both cameras are still working after two years with never a problem. Quality may not be great but they are still working.
I will give one credit, the staff tried to assist initially although efforts were a little slow.
Great Dash Cam – A very good dash camera. Has served me well in quite a few instances. It is very reliable, it has great footage/clarity, wide angle, it has a super capacitor which is what was recommended for Australian heat and it is small in size. no useless features and priced very competitively.
Excellent camera for the price – I owned number of dashcams, but Vicovation Marcus 4 is by far the best. Most died after being affected by high temperatures, so I'm hoping Marcus 4 will last much longer. I made sure that I purchase one with a capacitor as opposed to a battery. The build quality is much higher, it is also smaller then most of my previous cams. Video quality is excellent in all settings especially 1296p, both day and night. Extra wide angle is a bonus. Highly recommend it.
Great Dash Cam – After having several other dash cams that did not live up to expectations, or live at all (they all died within 12 months of purchase), I did a bit more research when looking for a new dash cam. The Vicovation brand came up as one with quality products, built well. I bought the Vicovation Marcus 4 and could not be happier. High quality video day and night, GPS, and it even offers 2560p recording. The software that comes with it is basic, but quite useable. For me, the reliability is the winner. It just works. I have not had a single issue with the Marcus 4.
Vicovation are also pro-active with their support, having had 2 firmware upgrades available since I purchased. The most recent one, improved the night video quality. This is the first dash cam I have owned that has firmware upgrades. All the others have it as an option in their menu, but not once did a firmware upgrade become available.
The downside, and it is small, is that the Vicovation range do not have an internal battery, and if you want your camera to work when your car is not turned on, you have to purchase a separate battery pack.
Great dash cam and I would recommend it.
