I'll be the first to admit that I've bought some junk in my time, but this.. This officially takes the crown as the most useless, unfit for purpose junk ever sold. VidaXL should be ashamed to sell garden beds of this low standard. First up, if you're thinking of buying any garden bed from VidaXL, don't. Walk away. You'll spend 10 minutes or more… Read more

per panel trying to remove the plastic to start with. At 40 plus panels in garden bed, that alone is enough to drive you crazy. Then, there's the quality, or complete lack of it. The panels are literally the thinnest sheets of corrugated known to man, scratched and dented before coming out of the box. The holes for the nuts and bolts are larger than the nuts and bolts, so you'll need a pile of washers and bigger nuts ready, and don't dare tighten them, as they'll tear straight through the metal. If you actually get to finishing one of these things, you'll need to re-spray it with paint so it doesn't rust before you get a chance to put soil in it - but you can't actually put soil in them as these things are so flimsy they won't actually hold soil without malforming. Don't do it.

VidaXL Raised Garden Bed – Arrived quicker than expected. VERY difficult to put together, unintelligible instructions. Lucky I have lots of experience with DIY. Don't buy this if you have eyesight issues, you can't see the tiny screw holes, or have any kind of fine motor skill deficit, it will waste your money first and your sanity next. Still needing to break to set the next one up, need to 'recover'. Not an intelligent design at all, but if you get it up, it looks good.

Good for the money but a couple of issues… – It comes in a surprisingly compact box. Open it up and you have quite a bit of assembling to do. Literally several hundred small nuts and bolts. But that isn’t your main problem. Not even nearly. Each of the 28 pieces of corrugated metal has been sealed with a plastic film to protect it from damage. You need to remove it. It doesn’t want to let… Read more ·  1

you. It put up a helluva fight. Managed to get it off in many, many strips. It says you need two people to erect it. I guess the second person is recommended so that they can stop you from killing yourself from the boredom of trying to take the plastic coating off. They do supply a pair of gloves. Which is nice. Still didn’t make up for having to screw several hundred screws into several hundred bolts. And the holes they need to go into are almost the same size as the screw heads, so that a few times the screw heads went through the holes and then had to be put in at a slight angle so that they would ‘catch’ the top sheet and pull it tight to the next door sheet. It’s pretty easy to put together, and you get used to the fiddly little screws. It feels flimsy when constructed, but feels much more solid when soil is added. Overall I think it looks better than the price you paid for it - but you deserve it to for all the work you will have done to get it finished!!

Missing so many parts it is ridiculous! – Let me start by saying that the company itself were very helpful and co-operative; and perhaps it is not their fault that the product is below standard. I spoke to them on LiveChat about the first missing parts, which are required for a safety issue (covers for the tops of the raw metal joins). They informed me that they were out of stock and… Read more

offered me a partial refund of $65, which I accepted. The next day I discovered that the instructions called for 10 x F but only 5 were supplied. These parts are also required for stability. I advised LiveChat and they offered me a further partial refund of $25. Today I discovered that 1 piece of part B was missing, but there was an extra B1; plus it was short 2 main screws. This time I contacted VidaXL via email. I told them I did not want a further refund as the whole thing was embarrassing me; I told them it is my opinion that they should not get the products back in stock until the manufacturers/packers could clean up their game to ensure everything was correct. Finally, I decided to warn the public that these products are so full of frustrating faults. If you particularly want one, first ask VidaXL if the faults have been remedied.

Late delivery - Missing part that takes too long to arrive – Product arrived after 10 days (6 business days) while website advertised 1 business day delivery for Metro Melbourne. The garden bed came with a missing part that’s structurally important. Vidaxl offered $20 voucher OR $10 refund OR replacement part delivered within 11 business days. Seriously how much longer do I need to wait for this??? Product not ready to use yet so cannot comment. Show details

Perfect for me! – Maybe not for everyone, however, if you're after a decent sized raised garden bed, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg, then this could be it. These raised beds measure 80cm tall, meaning, I don't need to kneel down, and insects and snails will be kept out.....my biggest problem. Made from very thin galvanised steel, prepainted, I'm hoping… Read more ·  1

they'll last. Each garden bed only weighed 15kg, and came with 8 sheets, 4 corner posts, 2 frame braces, and 2 struts, and 4 corner protectors....and a large quantity of nuts and bolts. I takes about 45min to assemble each one using a cordless driver and little 7mm open ended wrench. I must admit, it looked a little flimsy, but I was happily surprised when the bed was topped up with soil. Vida supplies a 12 month warranty, but it's unlikely to be needed.
