night or in dodgy weather. It picks up number plates (well, mostly) and street signs without any dramas, which gives me real peace of mind if anything ever happens on the road. It’s compact and tucks away neatly behind the rearview mirror, so it doesn’t block my view or draw attention. Setting it up was a breeze – the instructions were straightforward, and the app makes it easy to download or review footage straight to my phone. I also like that it comes with all the mounts and cables you need, so you’re not running around looking for extras. I installed it literally in 10 minutes by hiding wiring under the trim and plugging into a socket in the console. One feature you may really appreciate is the parking mode. It automatically starts recording if there’s any movement or a bump while the car’s parked, which is a huge bonus for peace of mind at shopping centres or on the street. For that though you need to hard wire it with an extra wiring kit. Overall, the Viofo Mini 2 is a cracking little dash cam. It’s reliable, easy to use, and the footage is crystal clear. For the price, I reckon it’s one of the best value dash cams you can get in Australia. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking to protect themselves (or at least have evidence of…)on the road.
