Everything others said is true – As others have stated, I stepped on the scale 4 different times with 4 different readings -- enough differential that I have no idea how much I weigh! My other problem is that I set my data, but I could not get my pre-programmed info to pop up. In order to get close to body mass info, I had to re-set my information each time. Really? You need damp feet??? Why isn't that in the DIRECTIONS??? – Followed directions. Didn't work. Returned for new one. Same thing. Followed directions, no body fat analysis. Googled the scale to this site where thanks to those that said you need damp feet and it will work. Come on, in this age of technology, there is no reason to omit that important detail from the printed direction booklet that comes with the scale!!! Show details

stepped onto the scale and it read my body fat, muscle mass, etc, like it was suppose to. For $14.99, you can't find a better product for your money. I'm giving it four stars for the fact that you even have to go that far in order for it to work properly but at least it works!

Doesn't work – Bought from Aldi's today. Spent quite a bit of time setting it up, it will not calculate my body fat, water %. It keeps coming up ERR when it actually doesnt register. It will be going back. Show details

Having used many earlier, less sophisticated models, I briefly checked instructions, dampened my feet, placed my new iphone x in sight with the app functioning, and, in seconds, all the info was on my phone screen.

So much info...... I am still processing it- 20 different areas were specified with analysis.

Way faster and more user friendly than Fitbit Aria.

Terrible product – Bought the scales today and will be returning them tomorrow. Every time I step on I get a different reading then the err message pops up. After reading the other reviews I won't bother getting a replacement.

Disappointed – 1st didn’t work took back it replacement weight only. Studied manual as was starting to question myself, nope another set faulty. Will take back and get a refund. Come on Aldi you can do better than this

Great Scale – I have had this scale for more than two years. I have changed out the battery once. The scale works perfect every time. I weigh when I just get out of the shower, with my feet a LITTLE DAMP, not dripping wet and it works perfectly every time...

it even with all of the bad reviews is because I suspected that the people using the scale were doing something wrong.

Well on my first attempt to use the scale I got the same ERRH message. I followed the instructions to the letter. I programed in my personal data into the #1 data slot (there are 12 slots for 12 different people) then I pressed the on button, then I waited a couple of seconds until the weight reading on the scale read 0, then I used the arrow buttons to select my data slot which is # 1, then I stepped onto the scale. After a couple of seconds it showed my weight then a series of 0's started across the display which I assume means that it is calculating, then it showed the dreaded ERRH. So I tried it several more times and it did the same thing each time and showed ERRH. So then I had my wife try it and it worked perfectly every time.

The difference is that I have very dry skin and my wife doesn't. All that I needed to do was wipe the bottoms of my feet with a damp wash cloth for a couple of minutes then dry them lightly and then use the scale and it works perfectly. If I use it shortly after I take a shower with my feet dried off it works perfectly every time. I even went to the extreme of drying the bottoms of my feet with a blow drier to get them really dry and the scale couldn't even detect that my feet were touching the metal strips at all, it just weighed me and the turned off with no error message.

All of these body fat scales work the same way, your feet need to make good electrical contact with the metal strips on the scale. If your feet are too dry or you have calluses that are too thick good electrical contact is impossible.

Anyway I'm sorry about such a long review.

This is an excellent Body Fat Scale, the only problem is that the manual doesn't explain what causes the ERRH error but hopefully I've cleared that up.

Errh message – Just bought the scale today. Got so frustrated trying to figure out what Errh message meant. Can’t believe these are still on the shelves to sell. Also should have pulled these. Lost my receipt can’t get my $back.

Errh – Should have read reviews FIRST! There goes an hour I will never get back. Just purchased this scale at Aldi and like everyone else, can’t get readings just “Errh”! Now I have to make another trip 40 miles just to return.

Body mass error – Body mass indicator is not working, I get an 'errh' error. Not sure what that is since the manual doesn't even mention this. Looks like this unit has a history of problems. Guess I will be returning it.

Only weight reads properly – Body analysis module does not function at all. Love Aldies and first disappointing product purchased there. Agree with other that scale should be pulled from shelves. Will return to store.

Worst thing I ever bought. Pretty, matches my bathroom deco, BUT, that's it! Don't waste your $$$$ – If I could give no stars, that just what it would get. I've purchased many items from Aldi's. this scale is the worst nightmare ever. Very discouraging! I will not buy any battery or electronics items from Aldi's ever again. I call it...the 4 step scale – 4 step because I have to step on it at least 4 times for it to figure out how much I weigh. Each time I step on it, the scale gives a different reading. SEEMED to make more sense....so I stepped on it again and got the same seemingly more accurate reading. So, I am sort of confident I got my current weight figured out.

Aldi got the appearance part correct, the scale looks great with its black color and rewardingly slim profile. The accuracy as a bathroom scale, however......not so much.

This is a scale that exercises your intuition, patience, and tolerance for mechanical/digital mischievousness or pranks on you. I have a Conair slim scale that is always dead on accurate and chooses not to test your insight with random numbers, but it is slightly larger in thickness. I have been using my Aldi 4-step-scale instead as a slight space saver. I am about at my limit for this Aldi scale's behavior, however, and will be dragging out my old reliable Conair.

Awful product Aldi – I should have read the reviews first. I get the Errh code too. The product simply doesn't work as stated and Aldi should know this and have removed it from their shops. Very, very disappointed! I had to give it one star, but would have preferred to give it -5 stars!

A bit better for me – I had a pretty good experience with my scales as l had them working well for 15 months until the batteries died and when l replaced they never started again. What do you want for $19.00 although the supplier replaced mine no questions asked so that deserves a star!

AWFUL – Wish I had read these reviews first - same issue - Errh code appears on screen and doesn't check fat/muscle etc! Some of these reviews are a year old - would have thought they would have taken them off the market!!

Angry – This scale fresh out the body does not work..... I was able to set it up but it only shows weight reads errh..... Just like everyone elsr said..... I want my money back.

Out of the box long enough for me to set it up – Then the dreaded "Errrh" code. So I tried new batteries. Nope, still got the error code, every time. It does show your weight but the Body Analysis option does not work. I'm returning it in the morning. Shame on you Aldi.

Error 2402 - another example! – I've read the other reviews. Same problem. Flat batteries changed. Error message. Out of warranty. Sounds like an ACCC consumer law claim to me. Not fit for purpose or reasonable performance. C'mon Aldi! Not good enough!

Don't bother – Same as others, I used them for a while and then battery went flat. Changed with recommended batteries and voila kaput. speaker area there is a blue light flicker. Not sure if it is a short or an internal on/off light for the power. Anyway destined for the bin.

Do not ever buy this. Error 2402, called after sales phone and no fix!!! – I got error 2402. Called the after sales phone, and the lady kindly told me : " the "computer" was broken, sorry, there is nothing we can do about it. It is out of warranty. Do not buy this, please!!!!

Cannot be re calibrated after batterychange – Just out of warranty and batteries needed changing.., yep, did that. Got a number display of 2402? Rang the hotline and got an abrupt female saying 'What's your problem?' She then said it's a non repairable error message. Won't fall for that again Aldi!!! Not at all happy.

Another problem with Visage scales – I have had the scales that I bought from ALDI for around 18 months. The error message came up which meant that the batteries had run out. Replaced the batteries and from then on the scales cannot be calibrated. Thanks ALDI. more disposable goods thrown in the rubbish. What a waste.

Kaput after 6 years , also after changing battery – Have the 4529 glass scale , perfect for 6 years however after changing batteries will only display 00 or 89.9 Kg

Can't live with it – Second Aldi scales after the battery runs out it doesn't work. I tried to replace new in both scales as they showed LO sames problem twice. You won't get me to buy a third scale from you again Aldi's.
