Disappointed. Should be better – We recently purchased a Nespresso citiz and have been doing some r&d on coffee pods. The Vittoria pods were on special so we purchased one of each to try. The first pack we opened were the espresso 14 strength and they were great. Everything else was extremely watery, weak and unpleasant. After comparison to Nespresso branded pods, Starbucks pods, Moccona and Cole’s branded, it appears the issue may be in either the foil used to seal the pods (it doesn’t punch out like other brands) or a lack of pressure in the pods themselves (other brands feel/appear to be somewhat pressurised with a slight dome on top of the pod where the foil is) We only drink espresso in our house and so far the top budget choice (when on special) is the Moccona12 as it has the best mouth feel, doesn’t taste like your drinking dishwashing water. There’s plenty of coffee in the Vittoria pods so I’m leaning to a manufacturer defect or poor design. I know nestle do some sneaky stuff to make it harder for other manufacturers but I think a few tweaks could drastically improve the finished product. Let me know when you’ve made the changes Vittoria and I’ll give it another go!!

Purchased in at Coles for $3.75.

Yeah nahhh – Previously a Saeco & Silvia user I switched to Nespresso style capsules because I’m & and lazy. I’ve tested numerous capsules & have 1 or 2 favourites. Recent purchase of Vittoria compatible capsules 100% Arabica shocked me. Coloured water is my best description. I can’t really comment on depth, intensity, colour or crema because there’s nothing there. First few cups I kept checking myself that I had indeed placed a new cap in the machine. All I can say it tastes like coffee but just think of the worst cup you’ve ever had. I have 40 of these!!!
