OK – Pretty good if u want to pick up a girl, joust cars, go to the bottlo. the bolts would be better if they didn't fall off the brake cable would be better if it didn't snap occasionally. would recommend to my mates it gets the girls, goes 85 on the flat, 80 with a girl on the back (75 with a big girl) great colour, good sound, did i mention good… Read more
for girls?
fits 2 cartons of beer, or 5 goon sacks
good for jousting car side mirrors off with a broom only sits 1 extra girl and her handbag
big oil leak
exhaust vibrates off on occasions (nothing electrical tape can't fix)
small fuel tank
the one mirror that is left is hard to adjust
Terrible – DON'T BUY. I wish I'd bought a proper scooter from a decent company. Plus the guy where I bought it from at Scooter Garage (now closed...I wonder why) gave it to some punter to test drive while it was in for service. looks ok shoddy workmanship, terrible pre-sales service, poor quality parts. The vibration has broken bolts that hold the exhaust.… Read more
The electrics have gone haywire twice in 2000 km, chrome peeled off the mirrors, oil leak, bolt connecting motor/rear wheel to chassis loosened causing a death wobble etc.
Terrible – I really wouldn't recommend the Montego at all - especially for novice riders - the 10-inch wheels fall short too. A dud. It's pseudo Vespa styling won me over - foolishly. But the quality doesn't come close. Having already come a cropper on Melbourne's tram tracks, the insurance company thankfully wrote this bike off. Never again will I be… Read more
suckered in by looks when safety and handling should be paramount. My Montego was a disaster from the start - the odometer and fuel gauge stopped working within weeks (dealer had to replace with new one) and the brakes NEVER stopped being incredibly noisy in the entire time I had the bike (just over a year). As others have mentioned - if you get a flat tyre it's very complicated to fix. I felt like I lived at the dealer's - nice people; but not sure they really knew how to handle/repair such a dud bike. I was actually very happy when my insurance company wrote bike off instead getting it repaired - I don't think I could have sold it to someone else and slept at night!
Terrible – (SEE PREVIOUS POST)It is now approx 1 year old and app 5000kays . Having replaced the valves with "high speed" valves, and the brake lamp switches with Dick Smith switches that work, and other niggly things(mudguard, muffler support etc) that seemed to crack, vibrate off, break. I have had a bolt break that holds the axle support to the engine. … Read more
And finally the engine mounts have given up allowing the engine/drive assy to just flop about in the frame. Looks comical, but not so funny at 80 kph on the freeway. Is there a sub poor rating available/please?? This is a dangerous machine and should be permanently recalled. Anyone who has one should check the movement of the engine in the frame by wobbling it from side to side. If there is any movement get it checked out before you crash. Nice colour. everything else
Good – Just bought one of these bikes second hand the otherday for a bargin. Best money i ever spent. Is a little banged up from previous owner having a bingle with a kerb and i dont like the colour but couldnt be hard to do a respray. Enough space to fit a sixpack under the seat and used basically no fuel to get around to a mates house for the Motogp… Read more
on sunday. Better than starting up my V8 and spending 20 bucks to get there. if you can get your hands on one i highly recommend one. Easy to start. Qwick. Good fuel milage. Colour.
Terrible – This scooter is the biggest waste of money that a person can possible waste their money on. My suggestion is to go with a Japanese brand of scooter, yamaha, honda or a Vespa. VMOTO should be ashamed of themselves for producing such a dangerous and **** product. I refuse to pass this junk on to anyone else and will be dumping it.... DON'T BUY… Read more
ONE!!! you will regret it. Possibly the looks Well where to I start??? I've only done 5000km and I've already had the exhaust broken off from vibration. It has a massive oil leak, rear brake light fell off, blinker rear fell off, exhaust chroming fell off. Rear brake sensor does not work. did I mention oil leak? yeh it's bad. When you corner you can't lean into the corner as the stand underneath hits the ground... HOW WAS THIS NOT PICKED UP?!?!? dangerous especially if you hit a pothole while cornering...
Terrible – total crap like all the vmotos!these things will kill you unless you have another couple thousand dollar$ to get a complete safety check on all components and fasteners. the colour they make once they light up the wiring loom and the seat catches fire, all in under 20 kms from new. dislike is such a tepid little word
Terrible – Very unhappy with this purchase. Although cheap to run the time-cost of taking it back to get fixed has been significant. Looks impressive, Economical on fuel. Constantly returning to the dealer for waranty work. Unreliable.
Bad – This scooter makes me wish I had stuck with my 50cc 2 stroke Honda Today even if it's top speed was 55km/hr! I swear my next scoot will be an Aprillia or Piaggio! Nice looking scooter Poorly thought out design with difficulty in replacing rear wheel, poor location of petrol cap especially when a top box or luggage rack is on the scooter, the fuel… Read more
tank is far too short for the scooter's hunger for fuel, the scooter itself feels poorly balanced especially in a crosswind. My major gripe however is how difficult it's been to locate a replacement fuel cap. I'm totally over Rick Gill Motorcycles, but that's another review...
Excellent – Ive just clocked 8000 km on mine and its great. Get comments everywhere I go on how nice it is, great to ride even in winter. I would only buy Vmotos or a Vespas, theyre the best looking bikes around by far but i guess i have a soft spot for them as I had one of the very first Vmoto Milans ever into Aus! :D Great looking bike, nice to ride , Aussie brand...
Excellent – Have had this little bike around 6 months now and really love it. Mainly use it to go get the shopping and on sunny afternoons. Couldnt ask for better milage with the cost of fuel at the moment. Have had to take it in for usual servicing and the workshop i take it too were very helpful with anything i wanted changed on the bike. Storage box on the… Read more
