No u can not - the reality is u can if u do not care for the car and u just want to just go until the engine stop working

I had the airbags replaced under product recall. When I dropped the car off at VW Ringwood the roof worked perfectly well. They called me to pick up car after replacing airbags and told me the roof was not functioning. Can they have done something to affect roof opening. It doesn't open all the way and malfunctions awkwardly mid function.

I had my airbag replaced and no issue with roof so I would advise speaking to vw dealership who did this replacement.

I would say the dealership needs to read the error codes and possibly reset. Failing this disconnect the battery to reset the vehicle.

I'm buying my first car and was wondering if this would be a good car. The roof issue shouldn't be a problem with me as it will be in a garage, but the safety components of the car is what I would really like to know about. Has anyone had any major safety issues with the car?

I'm looking at buy an eos 2008-2009 not sure diesel or petrol I also been total the roof leaks can anyone give me advice thanks

I owned an EOS and my roof leaked from the day I drove it out of the show room. VW could never fix it. My friend also owned one and did not have any problems with hers. They are still to this day a good looking car. Shame about the water leaks I probably would have purchased another one.

Google leaky roof and you will see most the time it is a really easy fix if it is the seals. Just buy 1-2 bottles will restore hard seals and maintain them and you should have no leaks at all.

Water is collecting inside the car after hard rains Someone told me you have lube the convertable rubber seals Its a 2007 Eso What can I do ???

Hi I always had a leaking problem which VW could never fix. The car did come with a sachet of lubricant for the rubbers. If the water is collecting I dont think the lube will help. Try a VW dealership. I loved my car but the leaking roof drove me mad. Sorry I could not help more.
