Noisy (but I haven't ducted it to outside, so that might fix that). The hob2hood function is the dumbest idea ever. This turns on/off and adjusts speed of the rangehood exhaust fan based on the temp of the matching cooktop. According to the manual: "compatible rangehoods work seamlessly with your induction or ceramic cooktop to clear your kitchen of cooking smells and steam. As you start cooking, the rangehood will automatically turn on then intuitively adjust the fan speed and airflow to match your cooking. How's that for hands-free convenience?"

How is it? Horrible. Constantly changing fan speed when not required. You can empty your pots after finishing cooking, turn rangehood off, put pots back, and it turns on again because it's still hot on the cooktop. No steam or fumes anymore, but Westinghouse knows best.

Recommend not getting a matching cooktop and not using unless you intend to duct to outside.

Absolutely garbage. Not enough suction power. Installed by certified professional. Had a Electrolux/Westinghouse technician in our place and they said it was working. Send videos to Electrolux (that owns Westinghouse) and they said it was normal. It drips water when 2 or 3 pans are in use in the cooktop.

Follow-up  · Drips from the actual device, from the filter as the suction power seems to not be enough. Regular cooking, absolutely nothing special, family of two only. Cooktop is a Electrolux brand new 70cm 4 zone. We will have to replace it and throw it in the bin.

Purchased in at The Good Guys Physical store for $500.

Good – The lighting is good but sometimes play up flashing on and off. Very noisy when in use but suction works well so that explains it. Cleaning wise it is ok.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $400.

Terrible. Stopped working after 9 months! – I bought this rangehood through Appliances Online. We used it lightly for 9 months at which point it started to be really loud and not effective in extraction. It then blew completely creating a loud electrical POP before it stopped altogether. We had to wait weeks for someone from Westinghouse to visit to check it, who is suggesting and replacement. We have not yet been contacted by Westinghouse as to when it will be replaced. Very disappointing!

Furthermore, when I wrote the review above on the Westinghouse website, it was “not approved” by the Westinghouse team and was deleted! Trying to cover up customer experiences with faulty products - poor form Westinghouse.
